im stoked.
id say 16 hours is pretty good for pulling a motor and trans, re-assembling a new motor and trans, and then putting said motor and trans back in the car.
especially for just 2 dude.
even moreso because it was the first nissan either of us had worked on.

alright heres a little update finally.
couple weeks ago we had a "big" storm, i got a little cocky on my way home and managed to drive into a ditch.
the far right is where i was stuck at, the tracks leading up to where the pic was taken from was just where i got pulled out at.
then shortly after that a ball joint completely popped out on my way home from work, luckily i had just gotten off the highway, i knew they were bad, just didnt know they were that bad.
and then shortly after that i started hearing some weird noises under the car, kind of like rattling. They happened a while back but went away so i just shrugged it off as an exhaust rattle without bothering to look.
My buddy convinced me to check it out so i jacked the car up and popped the cover off the tranny...
Only to find 1 out of 4 torque converter bolts still in place. 3 of them had sheered out "clean" and when i took the cover off only 1 mangled ___ one fell out, so im assuming the other 2 got completely shredded from bouncing around in there.
No pics of that ^ but luckily i have a 5spd tranny already, just need to get all the smaller parts to complete the swap.
So after that run of bad luck i decided to just put the 240 away a little early.
Finally got around to starting the tear down today and got a fair amount done, given the amount of time and that i was working alone. Im doing it right this time too, either labeling every part i take off, or screwing whatever nuts and bolts i take off back into their respective places until they need to be used again, so re-assembly should be cake.
Got the tailights out.
Also got the driver side door panel off, popped out a couple dent i had as best i could with a ball peen, removed about 1/2 of the OEM sound deadening from the trunk area, and started ripping the carpet back.
Next on he list is to get the dash and crap out so i finish removing the carpet.
Then doing an interior "wire tuck" with these wires as well as ripping the harnesses apart and removing whatever wire i wont be using.
Then ill finish removing all the stock sound deadening and well go from there.
and heres a couple randoms.
iheartzombies was cool enough to send me this bumper, i just had to pa for shipping.
noname brand and its pretty beat up but itll be good for practicing fiber glassing and leaving on while i learn the car.
annnd idk,
ill update again next weekend probably.
