Yeah man I'm on Strobist.com as I type this.

 

What flash do you guys recommend for the XSi/450D? I don't want something too expensive, just something basic.

 

i like my 420EX, pretty simple and can find them pretty cheap on eBay or camera forums.

 

here's my only good shot in my pitch black restroom with the 420EX flash...



for a little more cash you can get the 430EX, some older photo gurus still go for the 420EX because they say not much changed or at least enough to upgrade to the 430EX? up to you?

 

yeah those flashes put out some serious light

 

yeah, i just started practicing using my flash.. i bought my 430EX with my xti almost 2 years ago but never used it.. i was a flash hater back then maybe coz i just dont know how to use lol.. i started taking shots with it and im starting to like it now, i just need to explore more on what this thing can do

 

ya i need a flash soon, but i am saving for the 70-200 first.

 

08tc, get the 430ex.
