Mine was a silver suede GL. Never got a chance to mod it but it was a great car. Had 195k on the clock when I sold it.

 

my car only had like 97k and was a 98' when it died. It wasmy first car and I modded the hell out of it bc I had money from an accident when I was younger so once I turned 18 I went crazy. car had a lot of power, so much so that from a burn out I cracked the motor mount and tranny mount and my engine hung lopsided when I tried to make it back home lol couldn't shift into gears without forcing it in. then eventually my car had a electrical short, and my gears wouldn't stay in place, they'd slip out, even in neutral when I turned the car on and let go of the clutch the car it wouldn't stay on, like it was in gear or sumthing

 

The VW crowd is the biggest toolfest ever though lol.
