Interesting, but a bit too general. If you want to take pictures like a pro, read the manual that came with the camera....learning what aperture is, adjusting shutter lag and white balance and you will be taking great pics in no time. Shoot the same shot w/ different settings and you will begin to understand how to take the best photos under a variety of settings.
The best piece of advice in the article: use a tripod. Anytime you can, use it. It, combined w/ the timer on your camera, will bring out the best in your shots.
