DC Power 320A Alt for Scion/Toyota 2AZ-FE
Hey guys, putting sounds (wall) in a 1st gen xB instead of the 2nd gen, so I don't need this alt anymore. Its a DC Power 320A alternator for a Scion xB, should fit most Toyota products with the 2.4L I4 2AZ-FE engine, including the Scion tC, and 2nd gen xB, Camry, Highlander, Corolla, Matrix. Output is solid at cruising speed, but as with any HO alt utilizing the stock Denso casing, idle output isn't fantastic. Just want to put that out front so no one gets any surprises. Casing is powder coated black for extra awesomeness.
Alt has less than 10,000 miles on it, asking $385 shipped anywhere in the US. Shoot me a PM here if you're interested and we can go from there!
Thanks for looking!
Note: Pictures are from when it was new, alt does not look significantly different now (<10k miles on alt).
Edit 8/10: Price drop $400 to 390
Edit 8/13: Someone pointed out that this alt with all-Denso casing is the 320A amp model, changed classified to reflect this. Price drop to $385, added pictures.

Iv got a stock Alt, but iv upgraded to 0 gauge put in a xs power D3100 battery and run dual AZ obdI compressors. How will this benefit me, since im already overkilled? Do i want to upgrade, doesnt seem like a good idea if its pretty crappy at idle.

Also, bump. Make me an offer, anyone.

interested. but still kind of confused about the low output at idle. i have dual compressors for my air ride and a 400 mono amp and 400x4 amp. would this alternator help me in anyway.

Think of it this way, you can have high idle output, high maximum output, or standard bolt-in case. You can have two of those, not all three. In order to get a high maximum output AND high idle output, you need to make the components of the alternator physically bigger, and that requires going to a custom mounting system for a different alternator casing.
In my 1st gen xB, I have a Mechman 270A, which does slightly higher output at idle than stock, and quite a bit more maximum output. The downside is that it is a much larger unit and not a direct drop in, it came with a couple brackets to fit the stock location. While it wasn't extremely difficult to make fit, the kit was not as bolt-on as they made it seem, I had to finagle a bit to get it to mount correctly, as well as the no-charge warning light on my car is now disabled.
This DC Power is supposed to do 320A maximum output, which is huge. It also uses the factory casing, so you know it will bolt up just like your stock alternator, no brackets or finagling required. The downside is that idle output isn't great, perhaps even less than stock. Part of the problem is that our cars idle speed is quite low, especially if you have an automatic and are in gear at a stoplight. Once you get the motor spinning over ~850 RPMs, output is great.
What does this mean for you? If you're gonna leave your car idling a long time with lots of electronics going, say like at a parking lot meet up, you would be slightly better served by your stock alternator, which does a little more output at idle. If you're going to be over idle, such as driving on the highway and slamming your sounds, or revving your engine (hold ~2,500 RPM) during a SPL competition, this alternator will put down a ton of power.
