Allstate Denied The Claim For My tC...
4-11-09 My tC gets stolen, long story short after a poop load of run around they say it was an inside job and that since the window wasn't broken they're not covering it.
Has anyone had a similar experience, or an ideas/tips?
And also there is something stuck in the ignition that they haven't/won't take out.
Oh, and I only got one key from the dealership when I purchased the car.
They found the car, and the inside was gutted, rims gone, speedo gone, and rear bumper taken.

Call a lawyer and ask for some free advice, usually they kind of go over your options for free especially on a case like this.
Did the insurance company tell you why they came up with that conclusion?

there are reasons why they denied your claim, but what's the whole "long story". Here in So Cal, false reports are sent in all the time and this is an expamle of the thousands we get a month. Car gets stolen blah blah blah, found it with the 5k rims gone, rare jdm blah blah blah missing. In All State's defense is that they are pretty good with their claim reports. Im not saying that you staged anything, but they must have their reasons.

Seems kinda strange that they would deny a claim because there is no broken glass...As a Police Officer, I've seen numerous ways thieves get into cars, i.e. jiggle keys, window pry, slim jim, etc...There has got to more to this story...

I only received one key with my car from the dealership, and they said something is broken off into the ignition, and they have not/will not remove it.
Just seems sketchy...

Something just does not seem right here. I worked for a Insurance Replacement for many years and very rarely ever seen anyone deny a claim unless there was a ton of evidence supporting their claim. They have to make sure that they are correct.
So what is the long story? I have a feeling we are missing alot of it here. You say you only received one key from the dealership when you bought it? Isnt there a check list they go over with you on the car and make sure you get all the keys? If I remember right I had to sign a paper saying they gave me everything. The manuals, keys and that the car was complete when I picked it up. Dont you work for a dealership?

I would ask to speak to a supervisor. If that does not work, I would contact the State Dept of Insurance and file a complaint. I would also contact an attorney to go after your insurance and have them pay all the lawyer fees.
The Burdon of proof then belongs to your insurance to prove that you did something to your own car. Unless they have seen ads where you are selling your wheels and stuff like that, there should not be an issue if you filed a police report. There are many ways criminals get into cars without breaking the windows. Did your insurance laps during this period?
It is all these idiot scion owners filing false claims to get mods to their car that cause problems for you and I when filing claims.

I recieved three keys with my car. Two with the doorlock/alarm buttons and one without that has a key code tag.
Do you still have all the reciepts for your mods? I keep all my reciepts as well as a vehicle log with install dates and serial#'s. It is hard to get paid for something you can't prove you ever owned.
