Default My new RS 4.0 tC #513 of 2300 56k beware **UPDATED 2/16/09**

First off, big props to Mark (bbcrud) at Avondale Scion for getting me back in a tC finally.

Now, onto business. I have a few pictures taken so far (will get more up soon) of my new tC at night. I also have a pic of the 8000K HID cutoff (also would like to send props out to cliffud @ Mobile HID for a quality product ). Now for the pics:

Mods so far:

8000K HID kit (low beams only for now) from cliffud @ Mobile HID
Short shifter from Doctor Isotope http://doctorisotope.com/ (the shift **** that comes with the RS 4.0 does not fit with this short shifter so i have to find a way to get it to fit)
Gray Alacantra shift boot with black stitching from Shift Style
LED Gauge & HVAC swap by Garage1217

Mods on order:

Two Tone Black & Gray Alacantra shift boot with black stitching from Shift Style (to fit with the interior better)
Pedestal Spoiler by Scion
Hotchkis Sway Bars (front & rear)
Ingalls Engine Torgue Damper
TRD coilover kit

-------------------------------

1/4 stats:

15.935 @ 85.72

Since stripped tCs now have steelies, maybe they think the original aluminum wheels are special

Nice car - enjoy.

it is the same thread pitch, but the distance between the threads and the lip that holds the white ring is way shorter... plus the RS4 shift **** has this metal sleeve to cover the exposed parts of the shifter which hits that lip before it can even reach the threads. ill post pics of it later...

yep. plus the silver plastic piece that closes the boot does not fit past that lip either...

****EDIT****

I fixed the shift **** with a hacksaw... it's still in one piece

Here is the lip in the shift **** that I was talking about

Here is a profile shot of the stock shifter.

And here is somewhat of a profile shot of the Doctor Isotope short shifter

I had to hacksaw the plastic piece that covers the shifter in the open spots of the ****

Now it fits without any problems!

To fully appreciate the beauty of the RS 4.0, you do have to see it in person. In pictures I wasnt a huge fan, but yesterday when I went to the dealer, I saw #385 and I liked it a lot more than I did through the pictures.
