Default My totaled eclipse

I've told many people about when i totaled my eclipse but pictures speak louder than words. These were taken the same day of the accident later in the day after being discharged from the hospital when i went to remove my system. Story is i was day dreaming on the freeway to work in the morning and ran into the back of a stopped
truck on the freeway at 60+ MPH, I came out with only a scratch on my knee and the air bags didnt go off since i went underneath the truck. Had it been a car i would have died or if i wasn't wearing my seatbelt.

Sorry for your loss but at least you're okay. I had a '97 eclipse just like that once.

Damn!! Glad to know you weren't hurt. Your pics remind me of the time I had an accident in Eagle Talon. When I got hit, the car was turned sideways. Thankfully, I had my seatbelt on. If I didn't, I was told that I probably would of been killed. I ended up spending eleven days in the hospital with some internal injuries and bruising from the seatbelt. The car was totaled. The roof was buckled, the front end was pushed over, and one of the control arms was sheared in half. The first thing I do now before starting any vehicle is put on my seatbelt.

this accident happened back in 2002 so its been a while, my Scion is my first nice car since the accident so it's a nice upgrade.

you can see by the hood just how far i went up underneath the truck i hit. I pushed his truck bed into the cab and bent his rear axle. I blacked out for a few minutes i guess and when i woke up he wasn't in front of me. I guess he hit the guy in front of him since i hit him so hard so they pulled off the freeway to the very riht shoulder even though we were in the fast lane when i hit him. He left me in the freeway to go do his thing with the guy he hit so i was ____ed about that once i realized it.

He screwed himself though cuz i only had 20 ft of skidmarks since i woke up only about 50 ft behind him. Since he had moved his vehicle the police couldnt get me for speeding cuz they couldn't figure out how fast i was going. All i got was a failure to avoid a collision.

i still find myself doing it sometimes and it worries me, I'd swear I have ADD cuz my mind wanders all the time and then my attention will be back to the road. If i have someone else in the car I'm ok but by myself i space it.

Yes I still have a Scion, heck I just got it in August. My eclipse was purchased on new years eve of 99 and totaled in 2002. After that i drove a Chevy Beretta around while in college so I didnt have a car payment. But now i have a car payment and a college loan payment :-(
