There was no such memo emailed to us reguarding payroll checks. We are working through some finacial issues and do plan to open again.
Its sad to see it pan this direction, and its sad to see the media distort stories about peoples lives....Im sure if you watch the news tonight at 5pm youll see me leaving the shop today with the friendly finger hello to all of the lovely camera men! Buisnesses file chapter 11 all the time...some several times and come back strong....just look at U.S. Airways...(America West)

Krispy Kreme is NOT the company in financial trouble, and filing Chapter 11 bankruptcy, it is the franchise owner for eight stores in Arizona, six of them in the Phoenix metropolitan area, and two stores in New Mexico.

If you are an employee owed back wages you will be first in line in the event of a bankruptcy. I know that is not the greatest news in the world---but at least it is something. If the owner is re-organizing under bankruptcy you will no doubt get paid sooner. Good Luck!!
