Default Thanks everyone and Total raised at the JDRF EVENT

To all that participated,

THANK YOU!!!!!

We all were Meghan Marauders today and showed that a large community such as the Scion Community can band together and raise a ton of money for a great cause such as the JDRF. It was said last night to me that it takes one million dollars just to discuss, think, process and run one test to find a cure. WOW! This is why every little bit helps to raise awareness, raise money and work together not only as a car community but also the human race to find cures.

This would not have been possible without all of you who participated, those that donated products and those who worked to put such a great event on for everyone. Bryan and myself are honored to know that we could do this for Meghan, her parents as well the other JDRF families that came and attended and those who wake up everyday with Juvenile Diabetes in their lives of their sons and daughters.

Special thanks goes out to companies and individuals who donated or made this event possible:

Phoenix College
Scion Corp

MOST IMPORANT: TO ALL OF YOU FOR COMING AND RAISING MONEY

Special Thanks goes out to Our Volunteers:

The Douthitt Family – For allowing us to bring them into our hearts and our prays as well as their help
The Williams Family – For setting up the event for us
The Lyons Family – For coming out and experiencing this event with us
Chronic Car Audio – Ryan and his crew for the stop
Rim One – Bryan for the stop
Moonray – For putting up with all of us at his stop
Boomster – Running the Tempe Towne Lake Stop
Jeremy aka Garage1217 – For setting up and lighting us up
Keli – For running the auction/raffle
Tami– For running the auction/raffle
Cassie– For running the auction/raffle
Danny – For doing all the extra stuff we needed to do.
Scisko - For his ability to make us laugh and dig deeper in our pockets
Co-pilots that helped guide all of us Scion nuts

Thanks to Dad’s Catering as well for the great food!

We donated the left over food of about 100 plates to the homeless shelter downtown. Well minus one plate that spilled in Bryan’s car. Anyone need an xB with extra Pork Smell??

If you got home last night and said to yourself "WOW", you should of. This was much larger than I thought possible and I’m totally in shock still. In case this is the first time you have been exposed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and would like to learn more please check out www.jdrf.org. The AZ Chapter which xb Widow (Beth) volunteers at can be found here http://www.jdrf.org/arizona

If you won something that last night and are unsure on how to redeem the coupon or get the installation done please do not hesitate to contact myself or Bryan Lonsberry at the dealership 602-264-2841. We would be more than happy to help you out.

Thanks again

Chad and Bryan

That's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME!!

I just checked our team report on the JDRF website, and our team has already turned in just over $4500. I also have about $600 more in donations that came in after the Walk day, so all told, Meghan's Marauders/Carli's Crusaders will have raised **drum roll***

more than $15,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation!!!!!

None of it would have been possible without the support of the Scion community - $1200 from the car washing done by SA members, 20+ Scion peeps and family members gathering pledges and walking with us, and the AMAZING Poker Run.

Once again, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANKY OU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

It was a great event and it was great meeting new people and hanging out with some old friends. This is one of the biggest scion events I have out of all the Scion events that I have been to. I was so glad to be a part of this event.

Who would have thought that a bunch of people who bought a cheap car would have gotten together and raised that much money?

I was honored spending the day with so many people who have such great hearts. Congratulations to each of you for helping the Scion community pass the high goal that was set for this event. Each of us was making a difference.

Now just say a few prayers that they can find a cure!!!

Hopefully we can make this a annual event. If they find a cure (which will take a lot more prayers and $$$), maybe we can do MS or something. I am so proud to be associated with winners that can come together for an event such as this and make good things happen.

Sara here.....I have an idea on starting to raise money for next year.
If one of the dealerships or Corp could donate a Scion
Maybe have everyone add some type of mod to it.
We as a group can start selling tickets.
Something like $10 a ticket /$30 - 5 tickets/ $50 - 8 tickets

Do the raffel in Dec 2008 - what an awesome Xmas for the lucky winner.
And the $$$$$$$ we would raise for the cause.
