Default Wife curb ripped my enkei EMX Super 7's(Camelback/Precision)

Wondering if maybe the Camelback or Precision crew could chime in or the D&S fellas.

Wife ripped my rims to shred's hitting a curb at Taco Bell (damn taco supremes!). She hit the curb so hard that the rim went into the side tire wall and shredded that. So after a trip to Precision for an oil change and check up, they found the side wall damage, and I ended up having to get two new tires also.

So back to the rims, I found this article on how to fix the rims, (http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/w...uff-repair.htm) but despite two hours of searching I cannot find what type of paint to use for the Enkei rims. Or since they are chrome wheels do I need to buff them out?

Thanks for the help.

Tough one to answer to without seeing pictures of the damage.

If the rims are Chrome and they are rashed in the chrome.. not much you can do.
Remember chrome is plated on. Now if that area was polished then you could polish out that spot (if that area is clear coated then you would have to take off the clear coat).

anyway you look at it. O U C H

Thanks rj and moonray, I tried taking a few pictures of them but they keep coming out blury, I will try again later, but after taking a closer look I am sure they are chrome plated, so basically I am screwed. It's a good excuse to get new rims, but that may be awhile...so I will just have to live with it.

Hey thanks wade...I am off this weekend, but I work night shifts, and I put in 72 hours this week, so Saturday I will be out of commision, so maybe Sunday will work better.

You bought a house by the new Walmart right? I think I remember you saying something about that. I am currently at work so I cannot retake the pictures, I will try to post some when I get home in the morning.

Well Wade took a look at them today and they are pretty much toast, I think to fix them would be in the same price range as getting new, so I may be in the market soon for new rims.

Thanks again Wade for taking the time.
