Default Anyone do LED Swaps or install Bluebats overlays?

Im looking for someone around the the Chicago area who knows how to do the LED swap on the gauge cluster and HVAC, nothing too fancy just amber to white and the changing needle color on higher rpm and speedometer. Also i bought blue bats overlays but it seems that i am completely retarded when it comes to installing it...i failed twice, so if anyone has any experience doing this or knows of anyone who can, i would really appreciate it. Also name your price. Im located in Pilsen, about 10 minutes from the loop but can meet withing reasonable distance.

I do them. Rage does them. And I'm sure there are others as well.

I haven't put blue bats on, however, but I know some peeps that could help out.

On an off-topic note: You a pilot? Just asking with a name like Wingman172.

hmm, how much would you charge for the install if i bought the materials from garage1217? Do your buds have accounts on scionlife for the bluebats or would they be able to do it the same time w/ the LED's?

I used to fly down at Lewis Univ. in Romeoville, i transferred out after i received my Private Pilot License (Cessna 172)

If you have all the materials, I usually charge $40 for the gauges, $60 for the HVAC. I'll ask the guys who do the overlay stuff if they have accounts on here or not.

You still fly? I got my PPL in 2003 and used to fly every weekend. Lately, however, it seems like it's been every couple of months or so. I've flown 152s, 172s, Piper Warriors, and even a Beech Sundowner. Since moving up here though, I've been hooked on the Diamond Eclipse. If you get a chance, you should check out Schaumburg airport and take a quick test drive of one. Fun little plane for sure.

Can you do the "wicked" effects that garage1217 can do? Like on here http://www.garage1217.com/album1_015.htm or the one were the needle changes color on higher RPM's and higher MPH? Price sounds good.

I got my PPL in 05' havent flown since mid 06' so i have to get reevaluated by the FAA....though i admit i am probably very rusty right now.

I haven't done the changing needle colors, no. The reverse LCD is just a polarized film you get from him and we apply to the screen. Not a big deal. I'd have to find out how he does the needle color change. Probably not that hard.

If you ever decide you want to get back into the flying groove, let me know. I need to go out more, and although taking non-flying friends is fun, sometimes they just want to see downtown, then go home. Which is pretty much the most boring flight ever.

Well, you got yourself a deal if you can get the needle change, ill throw in an extra if you can do the needle change. The needle change is the one that i really have my eye on, the other stuff seems basic.

That would be fun, to have someone who understands the complexity of flying, instead of saying "that looks easy, i bet i can do it"
