i thought my house was shaking from the train's that go by to head to the plants, but didnt know it was an earthquake until i woke up. 5.4 and then around 1015 there was a 4.2 aftershock that i definatley felt in the office. they said it spread over to ohio and parts of atlanta even felt it down south. that is definately a first. never been in an earthquake (never thought of illinois to have one)

I didn't go to bed until 4:!5 last night, and my cat was going ABSOLUTELY INSANE. Unfortunately, his Earthquake Alarm sounds just like his I Need A Treat Right Now alarm, so I made no preparations.

15 minutes later the bed was shaking like the guy from the Tempurpedic Mattress commercial was trying to knock over the wine glass. I was about to ask my boyfriend just what the HELL HE WAS DOING TO SHAKE THE BED AT 4:30 IN THE MORNING but I noticed a) he was asleep, and b) the entire apartment was shaking. Nothing fell down so I went back to sleep, lol.

Maybe I felt it more because we're on the third floor, but YOW...we had really high winds last night and I thought the building was coming down, LOL.

first thing i checked this morning was my scion
