Help me please on some GRASSROOTS MARKETING IDEAS.....
Hey everyone! Haven't been on here in awhile due to the holiday hussle and bussle! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years!!!!
Well, my objective today is to try and get some feedback and ideas of some places and events Scion and its dealerships could get involved with in having some grassroots marketing events (getting into the real life and neighborhoods of people to introduce them to Scion). Besides the same ole car show type events- how would you like to see Scion being introduced to people who may not already know about it? Ex: local pizza place giving away slices of pizza in college areas while showing off cars.....skate parks giving out passes to concerts or movies or something while showing off cars.... I would love to get some original ideas on how to reach people. I know we'll have stuff to give away for sure at these events (gotta have FREE STUFF!!!!) and it doesn't matter what city you're in when replying, just general ideas on spots to hit up the demographic we're trying to get to (16-30+ year olds). So, where to go and what to do???? Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Thanks for all your help!!!!!

down in my area just having scion sponsored car shows would be good since what dealerships they even have down here they have like no stock of any cars. they had 2 tc's and an xb when i ORDERED my car, and i just went there since the only other dealership near had no scions and said they couldn't order any of the 08's. it almost caused me to drive 3 hours to elmhurst, il to get my tc.......so dealerships w/ scions on the lot and actually putting the money i've been told scion gives them for marketing to actually use for marketing or car shows or something of that sort.
god knows i only learned about scion was for one of my marketing classes in college when it first came out, between that and the booths at hot import nights and dub i would've probably never really herad of it except for magazines since there is no real marketing down in my area for scions

We took our Scions to a movie theatre last month. Popped up a tent in the middle of the parking lot and gave free movie tickets to all that test drove one of the cars.
Great turnout even though it was freezing cold.
Everyone wanted to see what was going on.

If you want to open Scion up to a new audience, there is one place you will get people of all ages from all walks of life. The mall. I know a dealership in my area (non-scion) rolls cars right into the middle of the mall and sets it up like a showroom floor. Would get TONS of exposure.

i bet they would. god knows when i have gone to shows last summer in smaller areas (towns of 10k or less) people would come up and say "hey its one of those scion cars from tv" there was one show i even had old people that liked my car because they "always see the commercials but never see in person" but i think the idea of having something like that everyonce in a while would be good idea of what jjjosh said

There is a place here in KY called 4th Street Live with a lot of clubs/bars. Every now and then the local Scion dealerships get together and bring a few cars to the area and park them right in the middle of the area or on the main street.
We had a fall meet recently. We all had a cookout at a local park and then went to Four Roses Distillery. We plan on doing something in the spring but instead of Four Roses we plan on going to the Slugger Museum.
There are a lot of things you can do. Search around at local businesses and see if they are able to give any offers.
I like the movie theater event someone talked about. Really nice if you have the space to do it.

Hey I live in West Allis, I see you are from Andrew scion. The best thing to start out with would def be a show or get together. There is def a lacking of that in the Milwaukee are. I've been hunting for a while and can't find much please organize a show and I'll def get people to come. If you show them they will come.
