im planning on friday departure

 

i would say definitely a friday AM departure... maybe meet up in downers grove and jump on the e-way from there.

take 88 to 80 or go down 355 to 55 to 80 and head straight out...

 

This might sound funny..
but my girl ask me not to plan anything for the weekend of May 6-7 , cause on the 7th its our 2 year anniversary , and I said ok boo...

five seconds later I open up ScionLife. and I read this post, so now Im in the task of trying to convience her to let me ride up to Iowa....


So I dont think I would ever hear the end of it.....

Should I beg her?
Should I give up on it?

Tell her you're taking her out for a romantic get away for your anniversary and head up to IOWA on your own not with the caravan. Take her out to dinner Friday night somewhere fancy smancy in Des Moines. Then saturday plan on eating breakfast somewhere nearby the show. After you eat breakfast make a pass by the show and say "Look babe its the national scion meet of america!! :D It only happens once a year and scions across the country come here to show off their car. We might as well stop by since we are here!!" She will fall for it!

Make it seem like it all happened by coincidence!!! It's works every time but you have to be slick about it!!

dont be like that al............al least say it in a nice way when do we want to book the rooms cause i know me and peter and alvin and jose will leave at night cause i have to work that friday but we will be there that night for sure

 

To you and anyone else with a girlfriend/fiance/wife/mistress/etc. Have them come along. Tell her you are taking her on a vacation for your anniversary. That same weekend on the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, is Tulip Time in Pella, IA. Tulip Time is a big Dutch celebration. My fiance is from Pella so we go there every year. They have two parades a day, lots of stuff to do, and tons of awesome food.

Girls like it because of all of the pretty flowers. Guys like it because of the great food and all of the women wearing low-cut Dutch dresses. In all seriousness though, it is a lot of fun if you get into town early or want to do something to pass some time while in the area. Pella is only 30-40 minutes East of Des Moines. We can make a mini convoy if anyone wants to go while they are here for the show.

You have so much to learn... Most of you guys have heard this already a million times so bear with me..... I am putting off my honeymoon so that We can make it out to this show I wasn't about to miss something this big seem as how i am not sure how many other shows i am going to make this spring/ summer. I used my bday which is monday the 8th of may as leverage for this.. I suggest you try the same tell her it would be the best anniversary present she could ever give you. Not to mention a hotel room for the two of you ALONE for 2 nights (enter 70's **** music here) and if she still says no. Well then it just wasn't meant to be and you come out solo n meet a true scion girlie...
