Not A Fan Of Madison Right Now - tC Smashed
Yea, right now I am not a fan of Madison right now. I went out to see a friend and I was getting on the beltline and had my car rearended, shoved into another car, then shoved into the guard rail.
So, my car, an Astro van, a Nissan 350z, and a Civic got very intimate.
Then, to top it off, the Astro van that rear ended and started this whole incident ran off.
I'll post pictures later tonight. First I need to vent.

did u get license plate? and im sure the others involved were witnesses to it so police can track it down... they must not have insurance... stuff happens here in tx alot cause we are so close to mexico. none of them have insurance...

I figured I'd get someone to comment at me on that. Not to be judgemental, but that's what happened. The most I'm going to assume right now is that he most likely didn't have insurance. The rest is pure speculation. I'm sure when the police find the van they'll find the truth out whatever it is.

Sadly, no body kit for this one. The front part of the frame is bent, so it's going to be claimed as totaled.
Here are the photos:

And yes, I know I went shutter happy. I put the camera in burst mode and just started taking photos. Figured I'd rather have too many photos of something like this than not enough.
Yea, I have really disliked going to Madison for anything for a while. While I was in high school, I took classes at MATC Truax campus (near the airport) for a year (yep, one of those nerds that took every computer class so they sent me off to there). Nearly wrecked my old Grand Prix leaving school one day because a semi ran a red light.
I'm waiting to see how things play out right now. My bud Matt is doing some searching through the different dealers for me while he works third shift (on call deal, so he has time to burn browsing different websites).

Scratch-X will make it look like new
Sorry, just trying to lighten it up - that sucks big time.
I'm ____ed and all I got was a ding on the rear-quarter, can't imagine that.
Good luck with it - hope you get the tool.

Well, just got off the phone with the Town of Madison police department. They have not found the guy, and it doesn't sound like they are going to be doing a whole lot of looking. The gal on phone told me that there are too many plates to go through even with a partial and would take hours and such.
So, for those of you in and around the Madison area, keep your eyes peeled please. It is a Chevrolet Astro or GMC Safari van (almost certian it's a Chevy), dark green in color, the shorter wheelbase version with some striping on the sides. The front driver's side has obvious damage. The plate starts with a K or G something. I forgot what the first three we caught were already, but the rest might enough to pick it out in a crowd. If you see it, call it in please.
Thanks all!

Sorry to hear about it. Ill keep my eye out but dont get your hopes up. I have to drive a lot around Madison for my current job and see a lot of vans like that all beat up. At least you werent in the city for the construction thats happening. The whole beltline was down to one lane the other day. And well then theres East Wash...thats a whole other story.

we don't have the overall traffic probs the "big cities" do, but yeah that beltline can really SUCK. There have been numerous accidents ( and fatalities ), seems far more then should be on a stretch of road that is only so long. It can be a daily headache dealing with all the dumas's out there....
it's always possible someone will find that van, but in all honesty it will be tough. Sorry to hear the bad experiences, as overall this is a nice place to hang/live.
As for "the Wash"..... if only cruising was allowed like the old days.... but that's another story though...

Don't get me wrong, it's not that I hate Madison. I went to school at MATC. Just have less and less happy thoughts about visiting there. Between this and the friends I had out there pretty much only wanting to drink(and not that I'm against alcohol, just the overuse of it), just not giving me a lot of warm fuzzies. Although I do really enjoy going to the Barrymore every once in a while and there are some awesome restaurants, and Full Compass is out on the far side of town from me.
Yea, if you ever need pro audio gear or video gear, definatly check out Full Compass. They are awesome. Shameless plug of the day quota filled.
