Ya I just traded in my 07 silver tc stock leather interior friday for a New 09 tc Rs5.0# 797 out of 2000.. Its at the dealer right now Its having the front strut put in security. And the Cloth is getting ripped out of the interior for black leather and red seude. The side panels and center console are getting black leather everything with red stitching to match the steering wheel. Just moved here back in the fall for a new job. Came out here from la. I miss the warm weather. ha Had to have my new tc shipped in from Louisville Ky. Had 70 miles on it and never titled.

No I was gunna have them get my scion but they dont even have tcs on the lot I dont think i can trust a dealer with my scion if they dont really handle them. They only have 2 people that can sell them there. The toyota dealer in danville this is there 4th rs that they have sold and they have a ton of tcs on the lot with differnt mods. Obriens was also trying to charge me 1000 just to have it come from another dealer. I only paid 200 to have it brought up on a truck for me. Back in november I let them do my oil change and tire rotation, however right before I moved I had an alignment done in la and they were trying to tell me I needed another. They seem sketchy to me... but I dont know maybe I was being harsh.

 

They have the big scion on there dealer like most scion dealers do but they dont have one on the lot.? lol

and yea its impossible to find any scions on scion lots in central il. the one here in decatur you basically have to custom order it like i did mine in summer 07, and the people selling them are old guys so they could care less about scions

 

Pretty much me, Chris (goose) and Matt (fztcar) are about the only active scion peeps around here lol.

 

Cool Well add me to the list. I will be doing the cai in about a month and then headers maybe summer time. I have a baby comming in the fall. So most of the upgrades will come in the spring when the next set of taxes come in. Need to find a good tuner shop that can handle doing a turbo correctly. A freind at work has a rx8 turbo and had a tough time getting it tuned correctly. only a couple of shops in chi town even willing to work on it. You guys have probaly have some shops you can recomend no?

 

I know of a couple places in Chicago that tunes but local to us, not really sure of any. I know a couple good shops that do other things, but not sure about turbo install.

 

first off congrats on the soon to be newborn!! i have 2 coworkers (brothers actually) who's wives just had babies 6 days apart lol. shop wise i know there's a shop in bloomington that alot of guys on CICE use for tuning and dyno and what not. as far as other shops only ones i know are for suspensioin, exhaust paint, audio/video, ect... and justin sounds like we will be header experts after this year lol. mine should be in this saturday while we're gone to WOW (need resonator on first before i isntall).

which cai are you looking at getting? if you need some online places to go through i have 2 that i usually deal with. and i hear ya on tax time. lol. who's your buddy witht he turbo rx8? his names not tommy snyder by chance is it?

 

Well I was planing on getting the trd one for now. I allready know its not the best. But for now I'm trying to keep the trd look under the car as well. It will be ripped out when turbo time comes around anyhow.

 

if you're goin the trd rout, prob cheapest bet would be trdsparks.com; most stuff dealership sells you can get for about 1/2 the price on there or other sites

 

allthough could use some advice on a good crank pully tho..
