Found this interesting, guess this is the tool they use to gauge what tint percent you have. http://www.northernlawblog.com/2009/...-tint-law.html

Quinn will probably sign it. It has a lot of support, even from the IL State Police.

if i was not a cop i would want the law to pass as well but you really don't know how dangerous tints are until you are the police...

on that note, say a prayer for the CPD officer that was shot last night in the head from a passing car.

^ Well, Sean, the idea is that if a reasonable level of tinting is allowed, it would theoretically prevent people from getting their windows super dark. This way, everyone gets the benefit. We can tint and police won't have to worry about people with 5% as much.

I know the IL State Police were huge supporters of this bill.

The senate has 30 days to hand the bill off and the gov has 60 days to sign or veto...

i read an article on pjstar.com yesterday and it says the house/senate have sent him a couple 100 bills to sign. so i'm hoping he'll get to work on them and not be a PITA about raising f*ckin taxes and sign this one

Wow 60 days crazy. Gonna have to carry receipt in car when i get tint done. since cars will have tint way faster than cops will learn of the change.
