Hey all!!!! I'm from Arizona and I'm in Peoria, Ill. for work. HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU GUYS LIVE IN THIS COLD A$$ WEATHER?

This has got to be the coldest I've ever been in my life. NOW I know why you all have "other" cars to drive during the winter months. My xB would never make it out here with this snow. No wonder I have yet to see a Scion.

It actually hasn't been too bad cause IDOT really hasn't used any metal-rusting road salt!
My Box doesn't see the road at all in the winters, that's where my '94 Sentra comes in!

 

Eh, you kinda just get used to it. I mean, it still sucks, but I left the house this morning and it was -9 on the thermometer... didn't feel all that bad.

Oh, and my box is daily driven year round.
I'm just glad I put the stock springs in before the snow hit. I've gotten stuck 3 times at stock height. If I was on the DFs, I'd never make it out of the alley.

 

haha yea. we r used to this. it dosent feel bad until the wind hits. and i hope people come to the dealer todays o i keep warm by staying busy hah. but next week the 30's! and tomrow 8 degress

 

dress warm and today is the best day to goto the zoo too which i'm going to be doing soon today :D

I wanted to do this today but I had a problematic Nissan Armada that HAD to get looked at!...

 

my tC is driven daily...and im still on my stechs. :0)

 

i slept till noon this morning it was great woke up at 10am thinking to my self i'll get in another hour of sleep but nope i got 2 extra hours of sleep it was great and hour later went to the zoo

 

-25 wind chill right now here in the Milwaukee area. I was fine with a light jacket outside for just a short time. It really didnt feel that bad.

 

heh i normally don't wear a heavy coat or jacket if i'm going to be inside of a building during my trip i'll just wear a sweater yeah sure i'll be cold for about 5 minutes till my car warms up from driving it small price to pay for being comfortable inside a business building

-40 w/ windchill today, coldest day weve seen in 10 years. awesome.

 

I work at a library in the IT department.

-12, actual temperature outside right now.

 

I work with men & nightshift; okay. I was the ONLY who didn't start up their car during lunch. Walked to my car, turned the key. After couple seconds, started right up. These co-workers are bunch of girly girls and b!tch more about this weather. They are freezing in their cars while they warm up. What am I doing....hammering all the ice from wheel wells, ground effects and not b!tching.


The only problem I had this morning was that my tC's brake lines froze this morning. Brake light wouldn't turn off and I was pressing harder than normal. Kept braking perfect at every stop. LOL

But the temperature gauge in my tC did read "-18 F"

 

so its -25 F. right now
