Default Chicago Indoor Racing

Wow! I had an awesome time there today with a bunch of coworkers from my dealership. It's a place where you race in go-carts, topping out at about 35mph. I had 2nd thoughts about going but after a few laps...I was hooked!
We did 4 races and in the final race, I came in at 4th place...not bad for being my 1st time there.
Some of you should check it out, it's in Buffalo Grove.
I HIGHLY recommend it...

Wow, one of the interns at my office went to Chicago for spring break. He was telling me he went to this indoor go kart place. I'm sure this is the same one. hah!

There's one in South Florida. After racing for 10 minutes, it started to become a chore. My forearms were like jelly...

I've been... I wasn't able to get the movements of the kart smooth enough. Fun though, kinda pricey too.

I'm a regular at CIR. Its a great place to learn.

If you haven't tried it you really should go and its better there to see how you do in a race situation than in your car.

The people who run the place is great - very friendly. The fastest guys there are very fast.

Here's a pic of me at a recent event at CIR:

Wow! One of my old topics has been resurrected!
I was actually invited last week by a coworker but I couldn't go, due to family obligations...

My department had an event there a couple of weeks ago. It was a great time. I was pulling high 15 - 16 second laps on course 2 (I think it's 2, the one to the far right when you exit the dressing rooms.)

I think total that day we did 95 laps. My arms were feeling it, but it was totally worth it.

sam if u want to go let me know, i think we can use about 4 people still and it would be 65 each

Not this one as we have a team event planned, however, I'd love to get together something in the future (maybe a little NRG vs SE? ) I can hear the sh*t talking now.

Sweet. I think it would be a good time. Let Poo or myself know if there's anything we can do to help.

I was thinkin about that yesterday. it would be fun to have a "Best Scion Racing team" in Chicago! We could even have a team trophy to show with the car club at shows.

Yeah! That's a good idea! Maybe pick a weekend when there's no local shows?
