If you look at what it costs to go racing wheel-to-wheel, to have safety equipment where it needs to be, timing equipment and all the other intangibles like time to prepare the vehicle, 50 bucks is a great deal since you just show up and drive. Also - you don't have to worry about vehicle repairs if you were to accidently bump into others.

I should also add that a lot people who race at Chicago Indoor Racing also race full-sized cars, its the same skill set. If you get fast racing karts you will also be fast racing full size cars. This is why a LOT of Formula 1 drivers have their roots in karting. Just my 2 cents.

It was cool to meet you avus! :D

I have not raced at CIR for a long time, my lap times were ok but I felt my stamina was not there. 10 races after not being there for over a month.

What track were you on? And what kind of lap times were you doing?

I've only been there once, and I was doing 15.5 - 16 second laps on track 2.

I've posted 14.5 on track 1 going ccw and last night i posted 14.88 on track 1 cw.

Track 2 - My best time is a 14.65 on track 2 going ccw and 14.8 going cw. I did not get a chance to run on t2 last night.

If I remember correctly, we were going cw in track2. It was a work event, so I had a ton of slow cars around me.

I wonder if I could do better with a better crowd?
