im in the same boat, but im in san antonio. i need to find a place to check my rear alignment. i know some shops wont because their equipment might damage our car, like having a ramp too steep which rubs the bumper or lift arms that are too big to fit under a lowered car.

I know mom and pop shops might be able to do it but i would look for a shop that has a good rep. once you start looking into chains, they get pricey. try to find a coupon if you go that route.

attending ut?

After I lowered my car I had it aligned at the Sears Grand down at I-35 and Palmer. It's about 62 dollars and comes with 6 months/3000 mile warranty so you can take it back and get it aligned again if you need to.

There are alot of shops in Austin who align a lowered car. The Sears as stated above and there is also a Goodyear on Bee Cave Road where I had mine aligned after I lowered it. They had no problems at all and got it within factory specs.

Sweet thanks for the replies, I have a stupid question and I assume it's from the car not being aligned properly but on dry roads when I accelerate not gunnin it or anything the wheels don't get any traction it also does it when I go around corners my tires aren't new but probably have about 7k to 10k left on them

Do you have a strut bar? The thing about going around corners might because your wheels are lifting off the ground. Are you taking them fast? Also did it not do this before you lowered?

no I don't have a strut bar, it didn't do it before I got it lowered I'm not taking corners fast it's really just when coming off an exit ramp and I give it a little gas nowhere near flooring it the wheels will start spinning almost like an understeer type feel but I'm not moving very fast, and I noticed it today when I pulled out of a parking lot when I went to accelerate the wheels just spun. I'm living in Buda about 15 miles south of Austin

Umm..like on Lamar street..

Chinatown = a bunch of asian shops/resteraunts together..

10901 N Lamar Blvd

but, that's not where the alignment place is..it's like across the street or something.

i'll find out

Yeah austin has a chinatown now. They made a big deal about it once they finished building it.
