MELTDOWN 2006 - NEW BRAUNFELS TX MAY 6-7

I want to thank JP for trying to make a good show even though we had crappy weather on Saturday and I want to apologize if any person gave you a hard time. We all had a good time even though someone was acting like a little baby.

Ill say it! I was robbed!!! It was the people that had no business in Street class in the first place! When you bolt on every freakin Toyota/Scion aftermarket product possibly available and then modify,...lets see here,.... factory paint, engine, wheels, and suspension! Not to mention screens that dont even work! Hmmmmm. Sorry but that is no where near street!
I know JP very well, he is a fair and honest show coordinator, and has been doing it long enough to know what he is doing. I've been to many of his shows, and every single one of them turned out fantastic. My former club made it a point to show at this event for the last two yars in the running and each time we pulled the best group award. The final Meltdown we went to as a group we had 22 trucks and 30 members there and left with 18 trophys in different classes! Out of nearly 175 vehicles total I think I can respectfuly say we owned that one!
JP straight up apologized to me for the lack of good sportsmanship these people showed. JP's wife told me she was cussed out and was pestered since that friday before the event about what category they wanted in! JP said had he known this they would have been kicked out!!! But JP's wife bit her toungue to maintain the moral of the show!
Then these people have the audacity to hand out factory merchandise and novelties to other Scion Owners to try and make up for thier hypocricies! You can keep your crap, I wanna EARN my trophy!!!!!!
I'm glad I held my patience and was judged the final day of the event and didnt cry and whine about not being judged. JP clearly announced over the intercom that if you hadn't been judged that day, they would get to you the following morning.
It was a good Second place and my third consecutive show award since I bought my BOX in February to be exact!!!! Although I totaled my other daily driver/show vehicle a month before, I pulled a third place award at a local show just two days after I brought the XB home from the Dealer and mildly modded it! Yea,.... this DEUCE is a definately bitter sweet KILL!!
To all who made fun of the BOX when I said it was my next project after fully customizing an F150, . . . . How bout them apples???
Small it might be, . . . but so too, was Pandora's Box!!!!!! And it was opened that day at Meltdown!!!!!!!

Wow!!! I only saw 2 xB's I guess the other 4 were covered in mud or underwater. Never saw the controversy because we were working our booth. I thought the Scion turnout was dismal at best. The weather was bad Sat. and hail was all around from the previous weekend into late morning Sat. Sunday was a great day and JP and his wife are super hosts!!!!
