Default Question about exhaust emissions in Texas...

Should i be able to pass emissions having this exhaust set up?...

stock header -> after market s-pipe -> custom midpipe with resonator -> Tsudo N1

I was debating if i should throw in a hi-flow cat just in case but i wont be running an aftermarket header.

there are plenty of places here in texas that just make sure you have legit insurance, do a quick walkaround and put the sticker on, this aint cali.

not cali, if you dont have a CEL youll prob pass, dont need a resonator to pass a sniffer just a functional cat

I am a state inspector and I watch of check engine lights I never look at exhaust. Texas hooks your car up to your OBD2 port to read emissions. If they can't read it there they will then hook your car up to a sniffer. So don't worry about it.

I did a muffler delete on my Yaris and according to Texas that would not pass inspection but it sounds awsome and I don't plan on changing it.

Yea but don't think reseting your computer right before you go in will make it pass. Your computer reads everything through sensors. There has to be a certain number of senors active after you reset your comp. which usually takes about 50 miles. If you are having a CEL come on because you are running rich you will need to pick up an O2 anit-fouler these can be found here http://shop.microimageonline.com/pro...0&categoryId=9 What is does is moves the o2 sensor away from the exhaust stream to read a more normal A/F ratio

actually not all parts if texas requires emission testing.. Im luck its not required here in my county, just the state inspection which pretty much on basic safety.. passed it already twice on my turbocharged tc

I passed with header, intake, exhaust, and check engine light in a shop here in south texas...no i dont recommend it elsewhere because the law does want us to pass emissions.

Now my brother took my car to college station for a year and only had a cat-back and check engine......well he didnt pass emissions up their
