Looking forward to tomorrow. Just put new tires on and the g-games are back! Didn't have time to put new brake pads and rotors on so maybe next weekend. Man I missed my wheels...

haha you held me off no worries

i LOVED that course lay out and the number of runs. it was def a good time. i left a good .5 sec out there through the box turn into the finish i kept coming out wide on the sweeper to hold speed, when i should've exited tighter (leaving some speed i was carrying behind me) and been better setup on the outside on entry of the box turn . oh well i can't complain too much as i had fun and i love a good challenging course.

bear, did you get your fender liner tucked in and secured before leaving? i was worried about tire wear for you on the ride home.

rofl dave i wasnt worried about it. that fenderliner got ripped out on the way home. not by my hands but by me driving and hitting a bump. it rolled up under the tire and ripped right out its my second fenderliner to get ripped out like that. im just gonna leave it like that. i'll prolly put a heat sheild around the filter to make sure the tire isnt slinging water on it but yeah. fenderlinders be damned. i have more tire clearance now roflmao

the course was def the best we had this year. i loved it. i agree there was maybe .5 out on the course for me as well. i think there was a 51 in the car. i just couldnt get it out of the car lol. i was in that second highspeed sweeper tho.

hey since you're fenderliner-less now you can come rallycross

and i don't say what you say to me via IM, justin is fast, it's not "just the car"

;)

i've already been rally crossing man. it cost me 6 grand the first time and 250 the second time. its called being run off the road. im done taking my tC on offroad excursions roflmao. however if u wanna codrive that STI then im by all means down for the cause!

FTR, justin is just rediculously fast either way u look at it. the car is setup perfect and he knows that vehicle all to well. im not even aiming to catch him. lol. i'll feel good about myself if im able to stay inside 4 seconds of his times. xA chassis is perfect for racing. just not enuf xA's do it!

last time i had a co-driver running the sti at a rally-x they wrapped it around a tree leaving me with $14,000 in damages

pics in the links below
http://picasaweb.google.com/dzajano/StiCarnage#

and just so justin knows, i was kidding about anything said via IM. i was quite impressed with the balance of spool/versus power that you must have to not have lag issues hindering the car at autocross. that's a really nice setup

that Greddy turbo seems to be the perfect size for a stock 1.5l Scion motor. it is nearly instant spool-up, and I discovered that if you play around with the VVT-I cam timing you can get it to spool even faster. My car is balanced really well as far as handling, but can use better brakes (auto-x they are fine) for road coarse use. Also the power levels off at about 5300rpm which may just be the turbo, but the down pipe could be the cause as well as it has a really sharp bend next to turbine. So power is an issue on roadcoarses (auto-x it is perfect). But at the same time the stock motor can't handle any more power, so then again the turbo is just right.
Still undecided on the plans for my xA as far as changes for next year... it is going to require a lot to keep it competitive in the time attacks, so im considering just focusing on setting it up better for auto-x and go for FTD over-all. I think it is possible if I switch to sticky R-comps such as Hoosiers and run 235's. Right now im on 205's 100 treadware mild R-comps (NT-o1's). The faster guys at the auto-x are all on sticky tires. Oh and I forgot a big one... I don't have an lsd and it was odvious that my car would benefit with one, but im content without one really.
I never thought I would be in contention for obtaining FTD at an auto-x, but after the last few months of running I deem it possible. Considering I was 1.4 seconds off the Z06 (FTD)... I think I can find that 1.4 seconds somewhere somehow, and those things I mentioned above just may be the ticket.

without knowing if you have motor mount inserts, what your allignment setting are, if you have a lightened flywheel, if your throttle body is stock. and knowing that you aren't running full r comp tyres (and you're running 205's at that) and don't have a limited slip i'd def say you can take some FTD's.

i'm very keen on motor mount inserts and limited slip difs, i know of 3-4 sections on the course sunday where a limited slip would've made a nice difference.

for r-comp rubber i'm a big fan of V710's

the next event with NASA is Nov. 2nd and will be held at Langley raceway in Newport News, VA. i personally wont be able to attend that event as i will be out of state with the GF.

that may be a bit of a trek for you...altho Blown_xA still comes down from NOVA to to langley (which is alot of fun). The following event will be on Nov. 23rd and a little closer for you and will be held at Virginia Motorsports Park again. i'll be there for this one.
