I got close to the Eastern Shore, I couldn't pay the bridge toll, and they wouldn't let me sweep the bridge to cross.. so..

If there's nothing over here how come everybody clogs up the roads all summer trying to get over here? No seriously please tell me cause I don't understand it. There really is nothing here but a trashy over priced beach and yet when I go visit my buddy I gotta tac an extra hour on to my travel time for bumper-to-bumper traffic during the summer. It used to be ok cause we had our back roads, now those get backed up too. I lived on the Western shore the past two years and you think I ever once traveled over here to do anything other than visit family? Yeah right. Ain't no beach worth that traffic.

I just don't understand it. Why OC? But I guess that's why the point gets busier and busier each year.

because ocean city is the only decent beach on the east coast unless you go to florida which is a 13+ hour drive for most. hell i live near VA beach and i've only been there once.

But Ocean City isn't a decent beach. It's overcrowded, overpriced and it's full of garbage. The beaches in Delaware are much nicer and more secluded. Plus it's more fun to hit the back roads then just drive a straight shot on 50.

Agree w/ envious, 1/2way agree w/ Biggie_Shorty:

The DE beaches are def. cleaner as far as the actual ocean goes. For those in the mid-Atlantic, this is how I see it:

Eastern shore MD has some cool driving, but it's mostly colleges/universities & such. Now keep cruising to the Beaches, & you've got Ocean City MD all the way up to Ocean City NJ. Maryland's O.C. is great for the youngin's/teens. Those that are legal & up, then Dewey Beach, DE is for you. Blocks of nothing but bars/pubs & a couple clubs. Rehoboth Beach DE is a mix/family-type area, w/ attractions for all ages. Just north of Reho is Historic Lewes, DE, now celebrating 375 years of the first town in the First State. Has lighthouses & historic landmarks that send a tingle to the hearts of the older folks. Tad north of that is the Ferryboat that takes you to CapeMay, NJ. This area has a zoo, great scenery/greenery & what I consider "picnicky" places. & lastly 45 miles north of the Cape is the swanky Atlantic City which, well, draw your own opinons on that place
Not to mention this area is easily accessible from all major surrounding cities,,,less than 3 hours from Philly/D.C./B-more/Annapolis/Virginia beaches, & only 4 hours to NYC & Jersey City. Thank you for touring w/ d.j.CatScan, please collect all your personal belongings & exit toward the right. Watch your step!

NOW LET'S GET A GROUP GOING, I KNOW Y'ALL ARE OUT THERE!

Default Scion's List

Let's start a list of who is interested, I guess the member of the original posted thread can assemble it,,,looks to be at least half-dozen or more who wanna get involved.

I really like the name East Shore Scion, has a Boom-boom-boom type flow to it, bangbopbip! Got my man who's into graphic design--he can come up w/ a logo. Aw yeah!
