August 24th, 2006 / Chris Rado appearing @ Scion of Waldorf
Yes, once again we, Scion of Waldorf, will be holding another event with Chris Rado making an appearance with his Drag tC, Spy tC, and some other neat toys. We have changed our venue time to make it easier for everyone to come out and spend some time at our place.
Location: Scion of Waldorf
Date: Thursday, August 24th, 2006
Time: 6pm to 11pm
As the same as our last event, we will be awarding some prizes to those that attend and fill out a registration form. Our last event we handed out an XM satellite radio.
Further information and details are to follow, but this is just to give everyone a date and time for this event. Please be sure to mark this on your calendar. Also, Chris WILL be running that weekend at MIR with his NEW Scion tC, so if you don't have plans for the weekend, be sure to see this sick tC break some records.
**Also in appearance, will be DJ Impulse. One of the best DJ's out there, Impulse has done shows for OC Car Show, SEMA, SEMA IAS, Scion VIP, and many more. Be sure to say what's up to him while you are here.

Just to let everyone know, we have locked up a DJ for the night to appear @ Scion of Waldorf. I'm sure most of you have heard of him, local boy from B-more, DJ Impulse. Impulse will join us for the entire event and lay down some good beats.
Also, we would like to know, for those who are coming, if you would be interested in having an afterparty at a local club. For those down, please comment. Thanks.

That's cool man. Hopefully you will be able to make it. If you don't feel like messing with beltway traffic, you can try cuttin through D.C. I used to live in Reston, VA and commuted down here everyday. Took Dulles toll road into 66 over to 395 north to 295 south and jumped on 210 south then to 228 west into Waldorf. Cut a lot of time from the commut and less traffic.

strangely enough, I bet it did save you some time!
ya know, my biggest beef about DC highways, other than horrendous traffic jams, is the fact that you might as well shoot yourself in the face if you get going the wrong direction on most highways in the metro area. anywhere else, when you're going the wrong way on a highway, you simply get off at the next exit, loop around and get back on in the opposite direction. not around here! here, you get off the highway and all it does is spit you onto another highway with no way to turn around, so you get off at another exit, and it spits you onto yet another highway! if you don't know your way around pretty well, it's a real crap shoot sometimes. 3 or 4 highways later, you're *completely* and utterly LOST with no idea how to get back!
I am by no means "bad with directions" in any other city, but this has happened to me a couple of times now. in the event I find myself going the wrong way on the beltway, I've found that it's often easier/"safer" to just keep going the wrong way around and suffer a 45 minute setback rather than get myself lost twice as bad.
lesson learned: I want NAVIGATION dammit!!

If you guys could....I need an update on who all is coming down for this event and who is possibly coming down.
As you all know, or if you haven't heard, Rado won this past weekends race in New Hampshire against Jason Hunt in the Finals. His new car is currently running low 8's in the 170's. He has one more race in Florida before he stops by our dealership and NOPI that same weekend at MIR.
