my brother can. he's an electronics engineer who tests satellite circuitry for a living. the question is whether or not he would! I'll ask him.

ok, so he seems interested anyway, but he's hesitant without actually looking at it first, and because he doesn't really have a way to test it. I promised to find him a decent walk-through so he can see what all is involved, so if anyone has a good link, post it up! schematics would be a huge help.

also, how much might it be worth? maybe that would help persuade him.

I want him to do it too so I can get mine done!

still looking for a decent walk-through, hopefully with schematics, before he can decide how much it's worth to him. but yeah, he's interested.

I'd have him do mine first, except that I need my car every day and haven't found enough down-time yet to have it done. I'm gonna talk to him about ordering my LEDs soon so I maybe we can do mine over the weekend of the 4th. how fast are you looking to get it done?

walk-throughs can be found in the tech section. they should be adequate enough for the novice DIY'er to understand and follow.

the hvac fix made by engifineer is simple to follow, but it helps if you are able to read electrical diagrams.

eh, I keep bugging my brother about it, but he doesn't seem too interested. he's worried about breaking somebody's guages and owing them new ones. if I can get him to do mine, maybe he'll see there's nothing to worry about.

yeah i can see that...i would be kind of nervious at first but if he did yours correctly first I don't see why a second time wouldn't be faster and easier since it's already been done, and if he would do it and something seems to go wrong that would be on me for allowing him to do it...i wouldn't make him get a new one, because all i really need him to do is the soildering (spell check) because i would take the gauges out and pull the back off so he could work on it...thanks
