Default Going out on a limb here....

Alright so I have been going back and forth between to stick with the warrenty and get the TRD shocks and strut combo or do what I really want to do and get the tein coilovers. So I wanted to ask if there were any local Tc owners with either that would be willing to take me for a ride just around the block or something. Nothing big! Alright well if anyone's interested I go back to school the 12th. So hit me up or reply on here

The only warranty that will be affected by going with coilovers is the suspension warranty. Your engine, drivetrain, and everything else will be covered, unless for some reason the coilovers damage something else, which is pretty unlikely. I have the TEIN SS-Ps with the EDFC and been running with them for over a year now and haven't been happier (until I got the supercharger, lol).

I'm feelin the love from the tein's all the way over here. I know thats what i'll be happy with. Thank you for pointing out the obvious to me, its def what I needed to get myself to just go ahead and do something about it. Next step is the money part. But it'll be coming.

there was some thread on here about a guy who's tc got scratched up by the lifts a the dealership, and they said it was because his tc was lowered and they wouldn't repair the damage. also, driving a super low car is only fun on the track. the street is your enemy. my parents corvettes are pretty fast until they come to a crawl over a speed bump or a steep approach angle. i like that i can be alittle careless and not worry about hurting my bumpers or botteming out with my stock suspenion, and the trd suspension is probably pretty forgiving too.

i'm a very careful driver about 99% of the time, but i know that it will be that 1% of the time that i'm not completely paying attention that i will hit a bump or dip or pull into a steep drivway and wreck my bumper that will make me curse my lowered tc.

Drax all valid points! The road can definately be your enemy for sure. I know for me I drove around in my friends 93 cabriolet that we put H&R Ultra Low coilovers on it, and changed the car up so it wasn't so ___. But the stance is unbeatable, and the ride I just love. Well at this age at least, early 20's. I love handling, suspension is going to be on of the first things I do. I will, like you said have to be much more aware of the road! Thank you for your replies guys.

I suggest new tires (and wheels if you have the money) to go along with the coilovers. If you have the stock Potenzas, be extra careful. A lot of people have experienced really poor traction, esp in wet conditions.

Only other suspension upgrade I can suggest is a rear sway bar. A front sway is not needed on our cars unless you're building a track car.
