No problem, I type fast...
Personally, I'd whip your lease out and verify whether or not that she's responsible for that stuff.. if she is, hold her feet to the fire.. I'm not quite sure what type of legal action you can do, perhaps get it fixed yourself and sue for repayment?
I'd go that route and keep pushing her, let her know you'll have to take some type of action if this doesn't get resolved, possibly termination of the contact...
But again, before you do anything, refresh yourself with the lease agreement.. don't burn yourself in the process!

I looked up the Virginia Tenant's Rights and I basically have no recourse other than terminating the lease. And I am month to month. My lease specifically states the landlord is responsible for all appliances.
I don't want to involve an legal council because she has been pretty cooperative, just not very thorough. And the app I filled out today asks if you have been involved in a suit and they also want to contact your prior landlord. So, I'd rather go out on good terms.
But, the fact that I would lose an entire paycheck to rent every month hurts.
Also, if they have to replace my AC unit, it would take a long time. In order to put in a new one, they will need a crane since it is on the roof of the complex.
It's a tough one!

I know the pain though, it's tough out there... I'd make the more economically sound choice for now... don't get yourself in a position where you may be stuck with ish up to your chin...
Oh wow... so your on a highrise property then... hmm... it is a tough one my friend... heat rises too! Eeesh! I'd personally go with #1 if you were uncomfortable there with the current temps...

I have been using my GI Bill money as another income... so that's been a great help!
Rent is crazy talk, everywhere... I was just splitting the rent for a nice ___ house in SOMD... $475 was my portion, now that I'm back in my own place, it's back up to $1,045 + everything else a month.

I decided to stick it out. The HVAC guy that came said the whole AC system needs to be replaced. My landlord gave him the OK to move on it. So, HOPEFULLY by Wednesday I should have a functioning AC.
I decided against the cheaper place because I believe I would pay $1200/year to not have to move.
Thanks for the advice!

I'm doing a bunch of stuff this weekend to her, I am swapping out the black door fabric with silver vinyl, front and back. Redo'ing my headlights with VHT instead of the overlays and also doing my tails, turn signals and rear 3rd brake light... going to be doing some stuff under the hood for visual purpose, header wrap, etc... I'm going to begin gutting the back out to start glassing in my W12GTi MkII Sub and Amp... probably going to be doing custom glassing in other places too, but going to pace that out to see how it all comes together...
Got this meeting in Glen Burnie on Sunday, should be a good time, so I'll check back here sometime tomorrow!
