I am posting notice to the Scion Life mid-atlantic community that the Maryland chapter of Scikotics will be splitting into two regional areas. Since the Chapter's creation we have seen a large ammount of growth across the state and feel that the time is right for this move. Work has already begun for the transition but the official date will be January 2.

The chapter will become Scikotics NOMD and SOMD, with the souther chapter centered in Waldorf and the northern chapter in Glen Burnie. Current and potential members feel free to move to either chapter, there are no formal boundries being drawn, select whichever is easier for you to get to. Meetings and events will rotate throughout the area, so if either location is not ideal rest assured we'll also be coming to your area as well.

With the split, chapter leadership will be able to more closely work with the business community in their area, and event planning will be an easier affair without having to account for travel requirements of members state-wide. We anticipate an increase in frequency for club events at the local level, and will be collaborating for statewide functions such as Shows and Scion corporate events. Please bear with us during the transition period as we help take the Maryland chapter(s) to the next level.

To our friends and groupies, my apologies for creating yet another forum to be checked, With this and the Hampton Roads chapter, hopefully no other changes in the region will be occuring soon.
