Location: Gunpowder State Park, Shelter 2
Directions:
From I-95 take exit 67A for Route 43 east (White Marsh Boulevard). Follow 43 to route 40 east. Turn right at the first light onto Ebenezer Road and follow it for 4.5 miles. The park entrance will be on your left.
There should be a little more room for parking, but still, parking will be on a first come first serve basis.
Entry fee is required to get into this park (unlike last year). This is the parks fee, and has nothing to do with the cost of our BBQ. The cost will be $3.00 a person if living in the state of maryland, and $4.00 a person if living outside of Maryland.
There will be NO Alcohol or Pets allowed.
I am still working on a few things, and will keep you all updated.
Thanks,
Zach

1. Do you know how much the Park entry fee will be?
2. How long is the BBQ? couple hrs? 4 hrs? 10 hrs?
Hmm so a couple hours...sounds good!

the park we usually have it at doesn't charge entry/parking fees
and CATD covered the costs last year
zach was looking for a spot with a little more room for ppl since this thing grows each year, and if we had it at Black Hills we would def cause some problems

Claudia. As i said in my post, and as two others tried to explain... it is a PARK ENTRY fee, and doesnt relate to the BBQ. it is a fee the park charges to allow you into the park.
$3 if you live in MD
$4 is you dont live in MD
The reason i chose this park is this event will be sponsored by Thompson Toyota Scion and Central Atlantic Toyota. This park is within our district, and it is a very nice park. According to the woman I spoke to on the phone when I reserved the shelter, we have 200 parking spots, and the shelter can house 100 people. So if she was correct, parking shouldnt be an issue, but I still recommend getting there early.
As far as time. Im going to get there before 10AM to set up, and Ill probably ask another person or two (you probably know who you are) to help me out. We have the shelter from 8AM- Sun Set. We will probably call it a day around 4-5ish
