Default afterparty

Just found out the afterparty is at Transit (the ghetto club), not Emerald City. Transit's right around the corner from Suite 450.

The SEMA one is at Shampoo.

Default SCION afterparty

Forget my last messsage about Transit. I just found out from the promoter, the party's at Emerald City. 20 at the door and 15 on guestlist. I believe it's 21 to get in.
Thank goodness it's not at Transit, the place attracts some gully folks. I'm also glad it's not at Five Spot.

This is a direct message from Dana (A CAT Rep), which she asked me to relay here:

"if you stop by the Scion booth inside
SEMA we have Scion Poker chips which give you a VIP line into the club and
free cover charge!!"

smarta$$ rocks the biggest nads. He helped me for 16hours yesterday doing some special things. 10am arrival, 2am plus departure, 3:30am sleepy time, 5:45 wakeup time. I'm exhausted.

thanks James. You did an amazing job

Hi All,

The SEMA IAS Show is just around the corner and we’re set to roll in for a good time! The Scion VIP field has been set, with a few modifications, and we want to thank everybody for participating in our search. As we mentioned in our first announcement, it was extremely difficult to select only 20 cars when so many equally deserved a spot. Honestly, there were several other cars that were easily on par with the VIP selections. We hope that all of you who were not able to be included in our VIP group will still show off your Scion at the SEMA IAS show. All Scion owners will have access to the Scion VIP Lounge, which we will staff and equip to please.

Unfortunately, because of the usual limited time to get things done before a big show like SEMA IAS, two of our original invitees indicated that they would not be able to make the event with finished cars. We thank Dustin Rand and Adam Walker for graciously giving up their spots so that two other deserving Scion owners would be able to make the event.

Michael Bartlett and Ethan Meyer were selected from the standby list, and both have indicated that they will be able to attend the event.

As well, Scion is also bringing the Scion VIP event to Virginia for the first time ever on April 22 – where 100 Scion owners will be invited to the NHRA Xplod Virginia Sport Compact Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park to cheer on Scion racing representatives like Brad Personett, Chris Rado, and Leslie Durst-Amendariz. Register now for your chance to be a part of the biggest gathering of Scion ever to hit Virginia. Visit www.scionvip.com/nhrava to register.

See you at SEMA IAS!

The Scion VIP Event Staff

VIP (Very Impressive Performance)
Scion VIPs Shine at SEMA IAS Show

Over the course of two days, SEMA’s International Auto Salon showcased the east coast’s hottest custom sport compacts at the Fort Washington Expo Center in Fort Washington, PA. For the second year in a row, Scion hosted a select group of Scion owners as well as provided an amenity-equipped VIP lounge for all Scion owners and their guests at the SEMA IAS show as part of their Scion VIP program. This year, 20 Scion owners in total were invited to show participate in the SEMA IAS Scion VIP event. Ten of those winners were chosen from entries submitted on the www.scionvip.com website while another ten were hand-picked by regional Scion representatives; all received a VIP package that included their cars in a Scion VIP group display, hotel stay for two nights, a group dinner, VIP status at a Scion after party, special gifts, and more.

Needless to say, with 48 hours of the weekend filled with shining, showing, eating, and partying, “lounging” in the Scion VIP Lounge was a popular option. Besides providing comfortable sofa seating though, the Scion VIP lounge also provided two driving simulators and plenty of snacks and refreshments for those looking for entertainment or replenishment. Still the main focus of the weekend was the cars, and the Scion VIP lounge had 20 of fine examples of Scion customization. In fact, all three top Scions in the SEMA IAS car show field came from the Scion VIP display. James Tito Harris (xB), Tango Ordonez-Cordero (xB), and Eric Pagan (xA) all brought home extra hardware in the Scion category from the SEMA IAS show after being recognized for the creativity and hard work invested into their Scions. While these three were singled out from the group, all 20 Scions and the Scion VIP lounge received plenty of attention from both show participants and attendees.

Like Scion automobiles, the Scion VIP event at SEMA IAS provided an extraordinary experience for the Scion VIP guests as well as other Scion owners. For 2006, the Scion VIP series of events has been expanded to include a special series of six events set to take place in conjunction with NHRA Xplod Sport Compact events around the country. At each of those events, Scion will invite up to 100 Scion owners to show off their cars, cheer on Scion racers on the NHRA drag strip, and enjoy a bit of Scion VIP treatment. The next stop for the Scion VIP tour will be the NHRA Xplod Virginia Sport Compact Nationals, Petersburg, VA on April 22, followed by the Scion VIP at Hot Import Nights Boston, Boston, MA on April 29.

For more information on the Scion VIP series, please visit www.scionvip.com. For more information on Scion automobiles, please visit www.scion.com.
