I've started researching this. I've got a few leads on locations for doing a MEGA Carolina meet. One is a drag strip, one is a road track. I am not sure if anyone is intrested in this stuff, but these are just good place to do a large scale car show or meet.

I"d like to try to do it at a neutral location(not dealers lot) Since I've had intrest from atleast 2 dealers about sponsoring/donating prizes for th event.

I've finished some things in my life and my car now. I am going to start putting some time into this and see what we can come up with.

One thing I can say for sure. If you or someone you know is intrested in help sponsor or donate prizes please let me know.

Only 5 votes so far. Once the location and date is decided, I'll work on getting Boyle Scion here in Sumter to throw in a couple of things if they can. They might even bring their promo xB out. *not bad but still needs work on the xB*

i will definitely be there if it takes place in myrtle

also wouldn't it be cool if we could do something like every year in one place. kind of like bike week but make it like a scion weekend or something???

Those are great ideas and it would be real cool.........the only prob is that we need commitments from people who are truly interested like yourselves....but yeah great ideas though. It is starting to take shape.......we will see!!!!

we could start setting it up a few months in advance and then get a list of serious people started. that way people have time to plan and make arrangements.

me and my husband go to a bbq every summer for ep's through a forum and it turns out really great. they even rent out a park area for it.

but yeah, your right sometimes even if you do all that work it is still hard to find serious serious people.

but if even half of the people on the roll call list come it would still be great. so come on people let's get serious about this and take over a town with scions!!!!!

and as far as a date i am going to put late july out there. that way everyone can celebrate the 4th of july with their families and it will also be enough time to make arrangements.

but, my husband is deployed so anytime works for me lol. i have nothing to do.

Truthfully I think Columbia is the most central. It's about 2 hours from everywhere (give or take). Not sure what there is to do there but there has got to be more that what's in MB. Charlotte is kinda far for a 1 day meet for most of the SC people. Not saying I wouldn't go though cause I love Charlotte.

OK This is straight off of Mapquest.

Charlotte to Columbia - 93.07 miles

Myrtle Beach to Columbia - 148.52 miles

Jacksonville, NC to Cloumbia - 256.65 miles (ouch)

Jacksonville, NC to Charlotte - 284.96 miles (ouch again)

Wilmington to Cloumbia - 206.25 miles

Wilmington to Charlotte - 196.79 miles

Charleston to Columbia - 113.79 miles

Sumter to Columbia - 46.34. miles (you suck) lol

SO from what I can tell we need to find a location that is closer for the Jacksonville/other NC Scion people. Any ideas??
