outrageous/obnoxious colored Scion
What is the weirdest/most outrageous paint color that you would never want to put on your Scion, I want to know! I am looking at having enough money to either get a new roof for the home or spend it on the box. I will roughly have $1,200 by the end of the month. If I do put it towards the box, it would be fitting the body kit, paint and possibly graphics. I want to have the most outrageous/obnoxious colored Scion out there.
Yes I am that crazy! Adam and Josh can verify that…
I was originally thinking about a hot pink box with a black top, metal flake, and a cherry blossom airbrushing. My other thought is that I should just go with my Anime obsession and have a full body wrap of one of my favorite anime titles. One of the really cute and weird ones that I have... like Azumanga Daioh, Kannazuki No Miko, Sailor Moon or Super Gal's.
I have so many ideas running through my mind… whatever shall I do… HELP ME!

I like the hot pink and cherry blossoms idea. Or, how about black with pink flake and cherry blossoms on that?
If I had to choose an anime for the wrap, I'd go azumanga daioh. Maybe just have it look like osaka and chiyo-chan's father on the back side window's poking their heads up like they're in the car. Actually, both themes could be integrated if you did that.

rob, rob, rob seriously? you remember what i said about the pink thing right? pretty brave man.... in my opinion i'd go with the anime wrap, unless you're brave enough to do the pink thing; one advice though... just don't roll up onto the north side of mpls, i wouldn't know how to help you then

i dunno, pink is almost too predictable as an "outrageous" color. and on a box, so much has been done already.... maybe go to the body shop and look through the color books for something different, like an aqua blue or some shade of purple or maybe something in the greenish-brown family. you can also have a custom color mixed up, with a base that has some wild metal flake in it. like you know, speedboats often have a super-sparkly paint in unusual colors.
going 2 or 3 tone would also make it custom. there are 3 body lines which are natural tone-break points. obviously the roof is one. then there's the body crease above the door handle. then there's the more-subtle mody line in the middle of the door. you could do a tone-on-tone where the box appears to get lighter towards the bottom. that will also trick the eye into thinking it's lower, since a lighter color on bottom will draw the eye down and make the box look longer and lower.
$1,200 isn't much to spend for good paint, though....and you wanted to do a body kit, too? er.... i'm about to do a two-tone on my tC and it's gonna be $1,600 for a quality job. yah i can get it for less but if there is one place quality matters, it is with paint. if the paint is thin, sags, drips, orange peels, or crazes, or the masking job isn't good, then the whole thing winds up looking nasty.
just my $0.02... i give ya MAJOR props for being brave. the only truly-cool car mods are from people who are brave. and hey, mod for YOU not for other people.

Sweet ideas... keep em comin'
I have a buddy who is an auto body tech. in training and damn is he good. He would be the one doing the body kit and paint for me. That is why it would be cheeper than normal, cause it would be for school. I only have to pay for the materials.
If I go for a wrap, I also have a friend who works at a local sign and graphics shop and would be willing to do the design work for free if they can put there company logo on it. I would still have to pay for the materials.
