Are you more worried about seeing, or the looks? The lower the K, the more lumens, which means you can see more. For example, 4,300K has the most lumens, and as you go up it decreases. Kev has 5K, I have 6K and Los has 8K. Out of all of them, Kev's are the most white, mine have a slight blue tint, and Los' are straight up blue!

i have i think 6k. they're very white with a hint of blue.

im looking for 3k for my fogs.

 

seeing....BUT...i dont want them to be yellow, like the halogens. or blue....like los'.

5000k it is then i guess.

 

5000 would probably be best then.

if you dont want to spend the money, you could always pick up a set of sylvania silverstar bulbs. they look really good at night.

ok and how does mounting the bulb work? does it just fit in like the sylvanias or do i need to mod it somewhat?

 

I got mine from e-bay......

 

Yeah they are just plug and play.. theres a relay harness that goes to the battery.. from there u plug it into the ballast.. mount the ballast.. then put the bulb in as if they were regular 9006 or 9005 whichever your car holds.. pretty much OEM fit..
