U can convert it. I think you would need a hack saw...im not sure if i want to be that drastic on a 200 dollar intake.

Lemme check on the K+N, you need to recharge the filter?

I wasn't sure about the AEM, but I saw it and it's just a CAI. The K&N I had, had a coupler right after the MAF, so you could use it as a short ram or CAI. I was saying, if you wanted to sell your AEM, I could sell you my K&N for pretty cheap. It's just sitting in my garage and I have some extra charge oil and cleaning solution for it that I can throw in with the intake. I don't have a use for it since I'm getting my turbo in 1-2 months. Send me a PM if you're interested.

I can take some pictures of it tonight if you want.

lol, yeah. Nothing wrong with it, but that's why I got rid of the extra CAI portion of the piping. It's perfectly functional as an SRI.

It's fine, I was going to put it in my 08 as an SRI, but realized I couldn't because the MAF flange was changed in 07.

Too much work for 1hp. And like I said, I'm getting a turbo, so it would have to come right back out.

Who else is? I know Tod is planing on it, but everyone else just seems to kind of just say that they 'want' it. I was in that phase for 2 years before I finally bought the turbo.

Most people just see the $3200 price tag for the simple kit and think they can afford it, when in reality it's more like $6500-$8000 for everything, plus you need extra funding in case anything goes wrong.

You definitely have to pay to play! Yeah, there're a few people I know going the turbo route in the area. I was going to go turbo on my car, but I've recently decided that I'm not putting any more money into the tC...I'm just gonna get a second car to play with, if I can find one for the right price.

id turbo the box if it were a trailer queen, but its just dumb considering its my daily driver.

That's what me and 2 high school friends of mine want to do. We were looking to get an older Miata, split the price and use it as a track car. Even with that, I plan on having coilovers, BBK, a small system, nav, turbo, Corbeau's, and suede interior by next summer .

I don't mind dumping $10,000 into my car, especially since I planned on a Saturn Sky Redline ($32k) or an Evo 9 MR ($35k). So I'm still at a lesser price than those two cars, plus insurance won't be telling me to drop the soap.
