The D40x is 10mp, vs the D40 @ 6, plus it shoots in continuous mode @ 3.0 (D40 is 2.5). The extra cost was too much for too little, so I got the D40.
I think the 18-200mm VR is $650, but it's pretty much everything you'd need (aside from a night lens) all in one lens. I'm picking that up along with the 50mm VR 1.4f lens.

i wouldnt spend 650 on that lens if im only buying the d40. thats a little retarded.
so basicly what you're saying is the d40x and the d60 are the same thing..... do a little more research.

Actually, the D60 offers more than the D40x, but it's not worth the price. At that point, I'd just get the D80.
$650 isn't a lot for a lens, and what you're saying, is that the D40 isn't even worth upgrading, so why buy it?

Hey guys,
Who would be interested in going on a paintball skirmish this summer? By going, I mean being involved in the paint spewing festivities. Of course you can attend to watch but for the sake of pricing field time and equipment rental... email me at bigdonvincenzo@gmail.com indicating your interest to participate.
Probably on a Sunday afternoon in June. If enough people, 10+ confirm to go, we'll be a private party and have the use of one of three fields to ourselves.
The location is:
586 Schuylkill Road (Rte. 724)
Phoenixville PA 19460
