Tod, I saw you yesterday.. haha. I was coming back from Roslyn Auto Care... after they put the new alternator in and i paid / drove away i noticed this loud, high pitch whistling coming from under the hood. Brought the car right back and made them tell me they'd fix it. So the car is going back in a few minutes..

He said it's either the alternator they put in or the belt tensioner pulley. I've had far too much bad luck with this car.

 

I just saw this thread a few mins ago.. very very interested and considering this.. but my car is poopy..

Heh, yeah I thought that was you - you have, like, 2% tint, but you're the only NBM tC that I know of in the area with a lip and tint. So it was the alternator that was giving you trouble? Maybe they need to shim it...does your battery light come on?

'sup Brett! I'm looking forward to Peruzzi, too. I was thinkin' about Boston as well, but truth is, there are a crap-load more rides that are hooked up more than mine and have a better chance, so I figure I'll refrain.

Naw Tod, that's the weird thing.. no dashboard lights or indicators. I'm on my way up to the shop... I'm not letting them off the hook, this is ridiculous. $135 for a diagnostic and battery.. $500 for alternator and installation now this squealing. I'm going to take this car out back behind the shed and shoot it

yo vince your out of your mind letting them touch your car thats all work you could have done yourself. you could have bought an altenator for under 150$ off a totaled or used tc. and auto zone checks all that for free and a new battery is about 60$ and a core return.
talk about no vaseline heh
