haha, river road has become my friend lately. Too many lights on rt7. Yea i'm pondering on how I want to do the suspension...Dealers want too much money for the ____ and don't know what they are talking about.

Anything new happening man? Any more plans on the car this summer?

Ahh, that sucks man. I'm still getting a parts list together. My list so far is only the super advan wheels (which finally arrived) / tires and suspension. I'll end up adding more in as time goes on. Let me know if you guys meet up or anything. I'm usually out driving around every weekend anyways. Hopefully more people hit up this thread.

BTW, BeastTC....Have we meet before? at which toyota?

Hey guys, I am in Rochester as well and would like to meet up with some other scion owners. Pur3, if you can post when the meets are or PM me that would be great.

ScionJim, I would love to see your LED swap if you're ever in the Syracuse/Rochester area.

Dave, Sorry I didn't get a chance to call you man. had a death in the family Saturday evening.

justint - I'm redoing all my interior gauge lights this summer so it flows with the new look the tC will have and my wheels. Need it to flow together and blue won't cut it this summer. lol.

most likely red and white with white needles to match my red advan wheels. Kinda want the whole red theme to flow and not have blue in the car...lol

I want to do mine as well, but I'm just not confident enough to be soldering things. I read through the DYI and it looks like a little too much soldering for me, especially the tiny ones in the HVAC and Radio.

the gauges are easy. the hardest part on the HVAC is the resistors and the Radio is difficult as the LEDs are like a grain of salt.

When was that? Was it when I had an accident and needed a quote for repair? lol

Justint - also, removing the lcd screen on the hvac is also a pain.

How long did it take you to put springs in? What springs do you have? I still need to make a decision between spring or coils. That would be cool to get some help with them. I got quotes from dealers and the price for installation is outrageous...

Anything from the dealer is outrageous Jim. Even outside repair shops overcharge, but not as bad as the dealerships.

My rear break pads needed to be replaced, and they wanted $200 for parts and labor. I went out to Advance Auto parts, bought the best damn brake pads they had ($61 for the long lasting ones that run hot inside and cold outside), and put them on the tc in less then 20 minutes. Something that takes me 20 minutes to do should not be $200 dollars. I doubt they would use the same quality of brake pads as I did. They probably slap some cheap ___ $17.99 pads on there.
