Unfortunately, that car was not stolen at the mall for a joy ride. It would be sad to say that it has been chopped up for parts + won't be seen again which really suxs.... Hope I'm wrong.

Chances are, you're probably right. But, wouldn't hurt to keep a lookout for a fellow car enthusiast.
