Default Meet: Bear Mountain Park, NY April 22nd

Who: All Out Toyota/Lexus/Scion meet.

When: April 22nd 2007 I'll just say 12noon for those of you that want to go out early for a nice drive.

Where: Bear Mountain state park, Bear Mountain, NY

This is open to ANYONE. What I mean by that, is yes, while this is strictly a Toyota/Scion/Lexus meet, anyone other car is welcome. I know some Toyota owners also have other cars, and some people may want to go with other friends. These meets are more for fun, meeting people, and making new friends, then the cars themselves. So please feel free to bring whatever, and yes, even a Honda.

*PLEASE NOTE*

This is a STATE PARK, and there will be MANY young ones around there. There is to be NO burnouts, NO racing, and NO reckless driving. And please be thoughtful to the others in the park, and no reving or music turned up to max. We do NOT want to be kicked out.

If we get considerably warmer in the next two weeks we might want to reconsider, but I still don't think they will be getting very busy until June or July. This is the better spot because they have the bar/lodge open on Sunday for drinks and I think they have a buffet lunch going on also from 11am-2pm So the parking lot by the Inn is the spot, now the only question I have is what time are most palnning on being there?????

I assume you posted this on matrixowners, 9thgencorolla, northeasterntuners, toyotanation as usual?
and it will probably reach the misfit tuners eventually....

you might want to post it on team scionrg, since they have a large population in this area...

I don't think it's the anthony wayne rec area - that's in harriman park.

Honestly, I have NO idea of the directions yet. This place was recommended to my by my friends here, as well as Team Toyminator who has had a meet there before. I'll try to locate some good directions and post it up here. right now I'm not menatally here, as it;s been a long day.

Dragon, I decided on Sunday because that seems to be the day people are usually free. One meet I recently setup, several people that did not come said they would if it had been on Sunday. So figure I'd give it a try.

Thanks. I've been lazy, too much crap to do and I forgot to post it there and a couple other spots.

So where exactly in Bear Mtn. will the meet be located? You can't just show up at the main facility on a Sunday afternoon and expect to have an open parking lot.. because it will be full.

My recommendation is the Anthony Wayne Recreation area in Harriman State Park, if you don't mind the gravel parking lot. (There has been a long history of Toyota meets at that location started by Matrixowners back in the day)

Directions are rather simple... exit 17 off the Pallisades Parkway.

yea, there really isn't a big emough parking lot in the bear mountain park itself, if you are expecting at least 70ish cars. And you didn't specify where we would be parking.
