Default New MA Exhaust Law

This is the new law:

"No person shall operate a motor vehicle on any way which motor
vehicle is equipped (1) with a muffler from which the baffle plates,
screens or other original internal parts have been removed and not
replaced; or (2) with an exhaust system which has been modified in a
manner which will amplify or increase the noise emitted by the
exhaust."

from:

http://www.mass.gov/legis/laws/mgl/90-16.htm

Do you think this will become strictly enforced?

They will probably enforce it for the first 6 months, and then let it go. Kind of like NY cell phone laws. lol

In MA the max tint is 35%, which is also hardly worth it. In VT you can't tint the front sides, which means the car looks funny with dark rear tint. I'm bumming, because I had planned to do 20% fronts 5% rears and now I can only do 35%, which is basically factory.

50% is light tint, so basically they're trying to outlaw tinting...I believe it's also illegal to tint the fronts in NH as well.
