I went to Toronto today

and FOUND MY OLD MR2

She was all fixed up, sitting in china town

i couldn't believe it

it took me a while to realize that it was my car but everything checked out, we even got under the car and it had all the upgraded bushings

talk about coming full circle

stopped over at the lotus dealer in toronto (one of our buddies works there) so we got to hit the service bays to check out the cars

Yes that is a Ferrari on the rack, it was just sold

its nice to be home

heres a few pics, and a video of us in the Lotus getting on the DVP in toronto

This is my old MR2, the only car that i truly loved. I still cant believe shes all fixed up and on the road. She suffered major frame damage.

Perfect, it's never had a repair that i didn't cause the problem It has been absolutely perfect. I wish i hadn't bought the extended warranty.

Hey,
Also... Looking for a GOOD paint job for my MR2. The Best guy charges $2500! It'll be showroom, but wow. I was thinking more like $1500? Is that possible? Anyone know anyone? Just want it painted the origional color. Have some rust spots that I don't want to go anywhere. Let me know if you know anyone. Thanks!

Who'd you hear that from? But yes I did. Actually won $10,800 but had to take taxes off the top and then split it 6 ways. Still came home with $1850 enough to buy my new fridge! Was waffling between paint job/fridge/navigation but have been dealing with a leaking fridge for about a month now. it's from like 1980? beat. It doesn't even have an icemaker or water but is leaking water. Don't know from were, but it fills up in the egg compartment on the door and everytime you open the door your foot gets drenched. So I went with the fridge.

Mike W told me that you had a blast. He said you won like 5 G's.

I take my car to City Collison in the strip.

Joanie,
I would take my car to Bill D'Andries Service. He has a body shop as well. I've worked with the guy for about 10 years now and he does an awsome job. 412-793-0855.

What did you think of the flames?

I tried not to blow too much in the casino... I LOVE TO GAMBLE, but was trying to play only $100 a day. I lost $100 in 4 hands of 3 card poker. $15 table. THAT was no fun...sucked. So I moved onto slots. Had the most fun on nickle slots. Found this one set of nickle slots that if you bet the max which was like $3 or $5 you got all kinds of free spins and won like $150. But all in all probably lost $300 but had a great time.

There was also a costume contest in which I hand-made a "lost shaker of salt, complete with a GPS system and a Lime wedge costume and won nothing for it. But some girl with a store bought dress with a margarita silhouette won $500. How you justify that crap? 5 costumed peeps were brought up on stage, chosen by the costume judges. Each was guaranteed $500 and one got $2500 for 1st prize. When they put their hand above each for applause, the margarita got boo-ed by EVERYone in the place. There were much better costumes, all hand made not store bought that should've won. But you can't please everyone all of the time.

LOVE the flames. It looks like checkered flag meets flames? Is that right?
VERY COOL.

Funny you should mention that. I called about getting mine pro-rated and they can't give me a check since I don't own the car yet but they can put it towards paying off the vehicle. I'm still debating whether or not to do it. It is nice to know that it is "protected" till 2012 though.

It's definately a great piece of mind, but once you get to the end and haven't used it, it makes you think it was a waste.

hey hey, would you be interested in sponsoring the CMU Charity Show, Cars at Carnegie ?

We really want people's personal rides to show up to make the event more diverse !
as it says, we have 3 dealership sponsors so far and lots of interest from the cmu/pitt community !
