That's right Pittsburgh. We have arranged to be a part of several events in the area during the month of July. Scion is sponsoring 4 events this month, and will be a "presence" at 6 others! Each of the events will feature ONE display vehicle. One of your vehicles! The following week in the City Paper, your vehicle will be featured in a half page, full color collage of the event!
For the first event, July 3rd, we can have up to 5 vehicles on display. If you are one of the display vehicles at any of these events, you and a guest are invited into the event free of charge, and will be given the full VIP treatment! We are testing out a relationship with the City Paper and their street marketing team. I am looking for your feedback on the events. More details if you PM me and tell me you are interested.
Below is the list of events. I will have more details on some of the events as we get closer. But, I am looking for those who want to be featured during the event on the 3rd ASAP (as many as 5 vehicles). Please note, you do NOT have to stay until the party is over! Only as long as you wish!

July 3rd - "Independence" at Firehouse Lounge in the Strip District. 9PM - 2AM
Featuring Gab Bonessa and Friends Comedy Group, DJ Bonics, Nugget, 7UP, and Big Phil This is a 21+ event.

July 4th - "Freedom with a View" - 9 over 9th / Downtown at 9th and Fort Duquesne
6PM - 3AM
Two stages with several bands and DJs, Outdoor patio with a view of the city and the fireworks display, art display. This will be a very cool event. 18+ (free food and beer for those of age)

July 11th - Movie Premier of Scanner Darkly in Squirrel Hill - Time TBD

July 13th - Sound Kitchen with after party. Sound Kitchen held at the Headquarters in South Side (Carson St) with an after party at Brillo Box in Lawrenceville. Times TBD. This is a monthly independent music series featuring a band, DJ, spoken word and Emcees or singer/songwriters. Free beer and food.

These are the four events we are sponsoring. As I said, more info to come. I will be at the movie premier on the 11th. The others, I am looking for your feedback!

July 14 - Champion Sound - 9 over 9th - Downtown

July 15 - Freestyle Hip Hop Show - Rex Theatre - Southside

July 28 - Big Fun Old School Hip Hop - Shadow Lounge - East Liberty

July 29 - Beautiful Noise - Brillo Box - Lawrenceville

hey these events sound awsome Dan! I need to read this PA forum more often lol Monday is the 3rd right. My car is busted pretty bad but maybe I can make it up

 

these are not regular scion events like we usually have Joe. From what i understand, we can only get in if our car is on public display. The show on the third can show 5 cars, and the rest of them can only show 1 car.

Me and M went to the Scanner Darkly premiere event last night. The movie was unbelievable, and it was a very cool time. Good to see Dan here in town, even if it was just for an hour or so before the show.

We are really looking for people to step up and help support what scion is trying to bring to Pittsburgh. If anyone is available for the remainder of the events this month and would like your ride on display, make sure you PM dan and let him know!

 

Hmmm, I'm looking for info about the 14th - 9 on 9th. Does anybody have info on that? Dan hasn't gotten back to me and I called Sean to see if he could get a hold of him for me.....
