This is for "SCIONCOP" I repeat "SCIONCOP"!!

Hey ScionCop I am in a real jam. I got stopped and arrested for drinking and driving in CT. I have to go to court in about two weeks and I am scared of what will happen to me. This is my first offense and it's a big one. First time arrested too. I have no idea what to do.

Please, Please if there is anything you can help me out with I would appreciate it.

Shut the hell up you freaking retard. I guess you really don't have anything to say anyways. You have just about screwed this thread up. ScionCop is cool and knows his sh-t. I had a feeling you were going to jump in and say something when nobody asked you for anything anyways. I don't recall anybody starting there questions with "Bota146 I have a question".

I recall reading you aren't even a Cop so why are you pretending to know anything about "The streets" like ScionCop already told you.

This is a hot thread and very informative and there has been no problems here untill oyubarged in and started giving half ___ input. Good thing ScionCop takes time to read and review some of the dumb sh-t you posted.

ScionCop where are you!!!! I got two weeks I hope to hear from you soon.

Hey fellas....
My old actuall user name was Eddie8124. I have now changed that to "ScionCop".

It's still me. I just changed it so that I can lock in the actuall ScionCop name.

MyTcisWicked....

What kind of help do you need ?

Are you contesting the entire arrest? or are you just concerned of the consequences of your actions? Two big differences.

If your contesting then it's a complex matter that we better take care of it in a AIM Chat room or something. Let me know.

Write down all your questions plus let me know where you got arrested and by what agency.

Thanks for your support you guys, I'm glad you figured out who the pretenders are. But I ask that you refrain from abusive conversation since it will only snowball and eventually actually turn this thread into a "_____ session".

As of right now Dghotlava, XbManiac (welcome), and myself ScionCop are the ones you should pay attention to. If anybody else chooses to speak for us I ask that you please wait for a response from one of us Thanks.

I want to welcome XbManiac to the group. She's a Trooper in Ct. For those who don't know Dghotlava is a cop in NJ.

Ecactly. Well said, ScionCop.

There's so much unwarranted animosity being posted here.

Default to the real street pros

is it illegal to have halos on while driving, heres an example of what they would look like

pick of them with lights off

pick of them on

now if you say they are illegal because they are blue, would they still be illegal if they were white?

--

and another good question which may or may not have been answered allready, what colors are actually legal for use, we all know red and blue are out allready but what about green, pink, orange, ect ect?

1st were you at the MiddleTown Car show?

Holy sh-t those are illegal. At least in Ct. Way to bright, blue color (emergency vehicles only), and I'm sure that they surpass the power limits set by DMV. I'm not sure what the power number is but I'll put money thats way over.

Use those for parked conditions only, Car shows, CarWash hang outs, Valet parking. ect. That is truly a potential driving hazzard for other motorist.

Plus be carefull posting pics that show Reg Plate numbers. Not cool if the owner of that car never allowed you to post those pics.

Yeah, they're a "no go" in New York, too. Look tight as hell, though.

The manufactuer should tell you (Either on the packaging or by visiting their web site) whether the light is legal for road use in your state. In New York, the light must be approved by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles for use on the highway.

But... Section 375 subdivision 4(b) of the Vehicle and Traffic Law states:

"All lamps used on a motor vehicle except a motorcycle shall be so arranged, adjusted and operated, as to avoid dangerous glare or dazzle."

So even a legal bulb that is improperly aimed can be illegal. And that goes for ALL lamps, including spotlights etc. As for color, the law says they will be:

"at least two lighted head lamps on the front, one on each side,
having light sources of equal power;"

But I'm pretty certain that I read somewhere that headlamps like the PIAA High Intensity line are pretty much illegal, regardless of color.

Edit: This is from that FAQ on PIAA's site:

Are these legal?
PIAA lamps are intended for use solely as auxiliary lighting. Lighting laws vary from state to state. PIAA makes no representation or warranty, either expressed or implied, as to the legality of its products for street use on any vehicle or in any location. PIAA lamps are designed to improve visibility during night time motoring and inclement weather conditions. However, irresponsible use of any auxiliary light can be dangerous and illegal.
I would assume that most manufactuers of aftermarket bulbs have a similar disclaimer.

ZoomBy....

White lights properly mounted, with power not surpassing limits set by DMV are legal in Ct.

Hope that simplifies what Bota146 just cut and pasted.
