wow, so my grand marquis almost blew up today.

Had an oil change done on friday, and the shop neglected to tell me that the gasket on the oil plug wasnt there anymore.

So, I get the car to their shop this morning, and it sounds like pots and pans are banging around under the hood. Mechanic puts in 4 qts of oil, and is really upset that it left hte shop that way.

lets hope the motor isnt destroyed. yay for me.

oh yeah, and i cant breathe.

Center-Drive Scion

A stereo system’s “sweet spot” is typically right in the middle of the speakers, but the driver and passengers are usually sitting too close to the speakers on one side of a vehicle and too far away from the ones on the opposite side. Which is why Chris Roberts created his center-drive ’05 Scion xB, with a single front and rear seat in the front in the middle of the interior, and the steering wheel and pedals are positioned accordingly. On each side of the steering wheel is a teardrop-shaped panel with instrument cluster on the left and the shifter and air-suspension system on the right, while on the floor is real marble tile. Flanking the centered rear seat are four Alpine amplifiers, while four 10-inch subwoofers are arrayed behind the rear seat.

i always put mid grade in my xB so the diff ends up being about an extra $2.00 per fill up. and i get better MPG then i did in the xB so im prob saving money on gas as crazy as it sounds.

the higher the price for regular goes the smaller the % of difference is between regular and premium. even though regular is up like 0.20 premium has only gone up about .05

Night photography is a biscuit, still. If you're not using a tripod, time delayed shutter release or a remote shutter release, camera shake and long exposure times are going to make your photos come out bad.

You will acquire less grain in your night shots if you use an ISO around 100 but you'll need a longer exposure. The general rule of thumb is that if you're taking a night shot and want to use a higher ISO, like 800 or 1600, you need a faster shutter release.

Optimal setting for a stationary object, at night with ambient lighting (building lights, car lights, etc..) is: 20" f/6.3 ISO 200
Code:
20" = 20 second shutter time
f/6.3 = F-Stop / aperture value
ISO 200 = cameras light sensitivity
When shotting action and moving objects, flash is a must. It helps to look at photos (I suggest PBASE.com) and look what camera settings photographers use to give them the outcome. It has helped me immensely.
thanks man, much appreciated. i cant remember, but the last time i did stills at night i used 10" f/4 ISO 100.. from what i can remember. i'll have to play some more with my camera. eventually i will get a DSLR.
