im working on an ad for a toyota dealer right now..and im doing some research on the new corolla. how can they ask for 23k for the XRS?! and it only has a 5 speed auto. there is a 4k jump between the S and the XRS.

FYI....

According to the urban legends page (www.snopes.com) this one is real.
There was another one similar to this a few years ago that was NOT true.
But they say that this one is a real threat. You can go to snopes.com
and search on POSTCARD and read it for yourself. It gives you there
other alias Subject: lines that it is sent under, also.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CONTACTS!

You should be alert during the next few days. Do not open any message
with an attachment entitled 'POSTCARD,' regardless of who sent it to
you. It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns' the whole
hard disc C of your computer. This virus will be received from someone
who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list. This is the reason
why you need to send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to
receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.

If you receive a mail called' POSTCARD,' even though sent to you by a
friend, do not open it.! Shut down your computer immediately.

This is the worst virus announced by CNN. It has been classified by
Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered
by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus.
This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the
vital information is kept.

hmm digging a little deeper it seems the price for the XRS is $19,400. that seems more reasonable..but still more then the tC which. it appears the Toyota car configure is incorrect.

the S has the same engine as the xD and the XRS has the same engine as the tC.
xD - $15,170 / Corolla S - $16,980
xB - $16,270 / tC - $17,620 / Corolla XRS - $19,420

that looks like like some dangerously pour product planning. these cars will be sitting on the same showroom floor together. not sure how they can ask for almost a 2k premium.
