Superjeer is completely right.... and the tC comes from the dealer equiped with 70% tinted glass, so no matter how light of a film you use it will be considered illegal when applied.
Some cars come from the manufacturer with factory tinted windows in the rear/sides with darker tint(like 35%), like GMC SUVs, but in the front they have the 70.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but you cant be pulled over for tint... if you on the other hand get pulled over for speeding or a fart can muffler... they can slap on a tint fine...

thats according to NYS law, NYC law is different.
NYC cops will pull you over for ANY reason you give them.

... and I really dont think that NYC has any other laws supersceding NYS law... and the key in what you said is for any reason YOU give them... if you drive like an idiot... you deserve it.

Default Tinting

That's crazy about the tinting %. I live in the Philly area and my windows are tinted 20%, which you can still see my face through. I paid around $150 for 5 windows including the front driver and passenger sides, that's considered cheap in Philly.
