Wana help us out with that?, join the family and help us take that first step. We are looking for serious people to do something big and special with, not to just meet and hang out wasting time, gas and money. This club is looking to improve our own vehicles with eachothers help and improve our comunity. May sound corny but that's what we are about. If you like it, join us.

how many people in the team? do you have a team site?
when you say improve the community...what do you mean? i don't get whether you are trying to enter shows like some of the other 'clubs' here do or if you want to start building shelters for the homeless?
not that i have a problem wither way, just wondering.

Basically, there are 4 members in the team including you. For the first 10 members there will be no fee. We are starting a club, and you could be part of the beginning of a huge thing here. Eventually, with your help and the help of other members, we will be attending Shows and sponsoring our own events within our communities. raise funds for the needs of our communities, and even our selves.
We can do all this, all it takes is a decision.
Make yours today and join the family.

just a thought. but you might want to establish your team rules, criteria, mission statement, etc before soliciting people for money. discuss what the registration dues go towards.
then every so often you have a meet and greet with new people. gives them a chance to meet members, chat, grab a bite or a beer, you know..make sure everyone isn't a jerk, or smell like bad BO. maybe you have requirements like, you want people to be modified in some fashion, maybe not. maybe they'll think you guys are too young, or too old.
whatever, if you each pass the sniff test, they join and pay up or whatever..
people usually have a difficult time deciding to join something if they don't know the people involved and especially if they have to pay prior to signup. or worse, you get every ole shmo saying 'yeah sign me up,'
right now its kind of like asking people to join a church without telling them what religion you are and if the congregation is like minded.
i'd be interested in a mini-meet to figure this stuff out first. i just don't know about being blood brothers yet...and hey, i'm in westchester so i don't know if i qualify anyway.
just my two cents.

jetlounge, you bring up very, very important points. You would be an asset to the team. I am looking for serious people like you who have an idea of how to run this. Would you like to be incharge of that area of the team? you know the compliance, rules and regulations?
I love your idea of getting together to meet all possible members and getting to know eachother. I want to find out what everyone want to get out of this and what they can bring to this team.
There are a lot of things to cover.
Lets all come up with a date and location for THE MEET.

hey bryan, i think what migueal is trying to do, correct me if I am wrong, is try to establish a club that is different than the huge mix of card at nathans or starbuck. He wants to establish a new local car club. I think it is a good idea. But it is still to early to tell. I'm interested though.

its not atypical for some clubs to have dues. this weeds out people who aren't serious, and may also go into a fund for future events, trips, things like that.
but i don't know, this was miguel's thing, he might have other ideas. i won't put words in his mouth.
i was planning on going this thurs to the scarsdale (first time for me), so maybe i'll see all you guys there. and we can chat with miguel about his team concept.
btw, is it nathans or starbucks? i need to know what landmark i'm looking for.

Guys, I cant tell you how excited I am about all your comments and ideas. These are the makings of a GREAT car club. I want this to be different. What's your idea of a GREAT car club?...take that and lets implement it. whats going to make us big is our unity, seriousness and having a fund.
The $25 fee covers:
$25 membership fee. (Receipt provided at time of payment.)
$25 fee includes: membership registration and unique ID number, team shirt, team decal.
Not to mention a fund for the team. This will provide the means to do many things like:
-Trips -emergencies
-Parts -Events
-Gear -etc.
You guys all have great minds with awesome ideas. Lets meet and put them down on paper.
All in all, I feel great about this. You guys seem serious and ready for something different. Lets do it.
By the way........NO MONEY as of yet. And for those who's minds are running wild, the team fund will not be under my name or my personal account. We will discuss a business account and eventually appoint a treasurer, so NO MONEY as of yet.
Lets pick the date, time and location. I have a couple of Nissan 350Z, Hondas and Toyotas who want to join but I'd like to stay true to SCION. What do you guys think? One of the 350Z is my best friend.
